You are probably right Dan but in this case he has an employer.  It was needless and vicious of the VO to demand something technically unneeded.

Frankly, I think the VO bashing is unbecoming... they've got a job to do like most of us...

If it is technically unneeded then why is it on the slip?

In my opinion, from the year's worth of interviews I researched, this is a typical denial playing out... I don't see anything overtly odd from the VOs POV...

He didn't like some things and wasn't going to use the interview time to change his mind.. A VO is not going to search all the "evidence" to resolve this.. the slip given is saying "we need more time".... this is what they say at the American Citizen Hour by the VOs.. this is typical...

old wounds must heal.. don't pick the scab and it will heal...

just curious what your opinion be if your SO got denial?

I give them what they want... this is a business contract in my mind.. I applied for a visa and must meet the requirements...

I strongly dissagree David. VO's should use the guidelines set before them. It is inappropriate for a VO to ask for evidence they had before them and refused to look at. If they need more time they should say they need more time not cloak it in another guise. You have not been through the hell of overcoming a denial. I hope to hell you don't have to but until you have walked in our shoes you don't have a clue. My wounds have healed fine but cases like this still make me angry.

What your saying is the complete opposite of what I see in my research in past interviews...

The VO has a quote over their head.. barely 5 minutes for an interview. the American Citizen Hour VOs state in many instances that a VO will not have the time to review everything, etc... Requesting financials in a slip despite it is there with the SO is nothing new, but common.

The "Hell of overcoming a denial"... I think this is getting too personal like what happened before in another 'moderator ' replying thread... If your angry, wounds have not healed.

Past interviews show that denials occur... a part of life... we deal with them...

the requirement is always changing... just give what the new one suddenly wants..

Sorry to hear about the bad news...

I think I met your fiancee on the interview, I didnt know she didnt pass it. I am sorry. I think you only visited your fiancee one time is a problem.

When my fiance met me in person for 5 days only at the first time and started applying the K1 visa for me, I said your govenment is not stupid, they would not believe us. so he decided to visit me again in last June for 12 days, then another visit in last Oct. for 3 months.

but Please do not worry, my sense told me that your fiancee will finally pass it!!
