Hello, Can i get verification on the necessary forms? I will be filling out the i-130, I-864, g-325a(1 each). Also, we will be submitting visa style photos(2 photos for each of us), copy of divorce papers(translated), proof of marriage(translated), proof of our relationship(pictures, communication), my last filed taxes, copy of my passport, I have a question regarding my wife's divorce paper. When we married in China, we received proof of marriage. Included in the proof of marriage, it is stated that my wife is divorced. All this is translated. Do we still need to translate her original divorce paper? Is there anything else that I should know? Or anything else that I need? Thank you, Paul

I looked around but wasn't able to get info on getting my proof of divorce/marriageability so I can get married in China. I was divorced in the USA. So I know I have to go to the embassy in Beijing to get the certificate of proof. Is it a one day process? Can I go there in the morning and leave that day with the paper? Do I need it notarised and translated for the Chinese marriage office? Is my passport enough proof? Has anyone else done this? TIA -
my fiancee got the divorce certificate translated. Is there any reason for them to see the details as in money exchanged, furniture, etc? Or should we just include the date of divorce, children, custody times of pick up and drop back off and pertinent items? Thanks for your help?

Hi everyone, As the petitioner, do I need to send my fiancee a copy of my divorce decree along with the other required documents for P3? Or is the checklist asking for HER divorce decree only? Thanks, friends. Tom

Hello Everyone, My Fiancee does not have a Divorce Certificate or "lihunzheng." All that she has is a four page statement from the court that states how her divorce came about, or reasons for the the divorce. She does not have a one page "certificate" like we have in the US. He "shenfenzheng" lists her as "divorced." Her "paichusuo" will not issue her a "lihunzheng" because at the time, the divorce was not mutual. That is his excuse anyways (since then her ex-husband has remarried). He claims that the booklet only gets issued for mutual divorces. She has been able to get a statement saying that she is not married, and free to marry, but there is no certificate of divorce. Would it be enough to use that statement? It does not list who she was married to, or when the marriage was disolved. It only lists that up until the current time she is not married. She is from a small village and you now the rest of the story with the power and control structure that goes on there over simple things we take for granted here at home. Has anybody had an experience like this with no divorce booklet? Any suggestions?

while i'm waiting for my SO signed papers. I read that one should get birth certificate, divorce papers authenticated. I havent seen it on the us consulate web site. Is it really nessary???? -
Seeing How I have a couple of them to get together if needed, what are the VO's asking for when they want an"Actual" divorce decree? I have the certified ones that I ordered over the phone from the state. They are an offical form with the cerified stamp and all the names and dates, no details of what happened through the divorce. This is what I used for the I-129f and the I-130. Are the "Actual" decree's the thick stack of papers with all of the details? What is meant by "Notorial" divorce dercree? Is that another name for the Certified ones? If the world was flat, would they put a fence around the edge so us confused people would not fall off? Or just sell tickets?

Hi Everyone, This is my first post on this site. Have a question that maybe one of you may be able to help with. I am applying for the K-1 Visa for my fiancee in China and received a Request for Additional Evidence notification in the mail recently. The wordings of this request are something like: Submit the documents the petitioner used to obtain the China Notarial Divorce Certificate between XXX and XXX. NOTE: Do not send a copy of the Notarial Certificate already received at the office. In my initail I-129F, I had submitted my fiancee's Notarized Divorce Certificate as proof of her divorce, so I'm not certain I understand what they are now looking for. The application form used to obtain the Certificate? Other additional proof of her divorce? etc.. I called up BCIS and asked for clarification and the immigration officer had no idea what the request may mean. Isn't it odd they don't even know what they want me to send? Thanks in advance for the help. LSW
