  1. After researching and not quite getting a clear answer I selected "Yes" was inspected by an immigration officer. I read a comment somewhere on the web that stated it could be a immigration, a public health, customs or janitorial officer B) Yes it would make way too much sense to actually have an explanation as to what the forms are asking for Actually you would think with all their high technology we are paying for with our fees...they would already know the answer
  2. On the I-485 form it asks: Were you inspected by a U.S. Immigration Officer? We are not clear if we should answer yes or no..... You would think there would be a line by line instruction sheet with the forms
  3. My arms feel ok, no knot now, but if I stretch my arms up and backward, they feel just a little bit hurt.
  4. I got shots yesterday afternoon. We got them at a county health dept. which cost us $10.00 total for two shots, MMR and Tetanus & Diphtheria toxoids. Then we took the shots record, the yellow paper, to a civil surgeon, and he signed on a form, somthing like "supplement form to I-693" and sealed it which costs us $30.00. So total fee is $40.00. It is not bad. I think it is the correct form we should submit with I-485 application.
  5. Does anybody know if I can use G-325A downloaded from website? The original G-325A is carbon one, so I am not sure if I must use the original carbon copy of the form. Thanks.
  6. K1 fiancee has to get married within 90 days, and I believe all of them file AOS within 90 days also before their K1 status expire 90 days later. So current status, K1, should have 90 days, while K1 visa has 6 months. But I think I'd better put 6 months which is much safer.
  7. So, I understand now, but I am still confused what I should put in Part 1 on I-485 for Expires on what date.
  8. yes, the visa in the passport has experation date which is 6 months from the date of issue, that means she can leave China for US within this 6 months, they give 3 months from the date of arrival when she arrived in US which allows her to stay and get married within this 3 months. That means her current visa status is K1 with 3 months legally staying in the US after she arrived here? That is what I think, but I am a little confused.
  9. On I-485, current USCIS status should be K1, and expires on the date of three months after arrival? On I-765, what should be for item 16, ©(9) or (a)(6)? Thanks!
  10. Thank you. Does the designated civil surgeon need to sign the form I-693 for the shots?
  11. Does anybody know what shots the civil surgeon give for vaccination supplement for K1 seeking adjustment of status? I remember some said three shots, what are they? Thank you for the help!
  12. For K1 to apply SSN, which one should I choose, legal alien allowed to work, or other? Thank you for your help!
  13. If she applies for a tourist visa she will asked at her interview, and I believe it is on one of the forms she must return, if she has ever applied for a visa to the U.S. And I also believe they ask has she ever been denied a visa to the U.S.
  14. Hi All, we are going to apply for SSN here. I know I need to fill out the form SS-5, but the visajourney website states that I still need to fill out another form called "Rm00203.500". What is it? Where can I download it? Does anyone know? Thanks!
  15. It was the cheetos that got us through
  16. Thanks for all the good words. Yes it is wonderful that our long wait is over and what a wonderful feeling coming home to home cooking Many of you were correct...the house could not be clean enough. My home is always tidy and I spent the last nerve wrecking days waiting for her to actually arrive cleaning house...of course she started cleaning the first day I returned to work Our wait was well the effort as we always knew in our hearts..... May no one else have to wait so long and travel through the nonsense we were subjected to the last couple of years....
  17. After our two year, one month and two week wait MM was finally issued her visa. She had been interviewed in March and received a white slip, only to be given the blue slip the following working day. Yes, it crushed our hearts. I emailed GZ the same day they gave her the blue slip and they replied that they were conducting a "name-check" and she would be invited back to GZ. This surprised us, as the slips she was given with the blue slip noted that our case was being returned to the U.S. But sometimes miracles do happen and two weeks later she received a letter from GZ asking her to bring her passport back to GZ. When she arrived at GZ the lady at the window was confused as the request letter only instructed her to bring her passport and no additional supporting documents. The lady called someone on the phone and finally accepted her passport and asked her to return the next day. When she returned the next day she was instructed to return the next day for a second interview and they gave her passport back to her. On her fourth trip that week to GZ she was interviewed by the same officer who first interviewed her. I thank our lucky stars as he seems to be a caring individual and had actually not sent our case back to U.S. but took the time to research our case. He spoke with her concerning our case. There has always been some error in our case since it first started processing in the U.S. At one point I was requested to send divorce papers….for two people we had never heard of!!!! I believe some clerk along the way in some office crossed up a couple numbers or something in data entry and resulted in our extremely long wait. The last three times I have returned to the U.S. I have been pulled out by immigration and interrogated. I am sure that my name somehow, due to these errors made in processing landed me on their hit parade watch list!!! I even went to my local congress office and asked about me being pulled out by immigration, and obviously being placed on the watch list. They would smile and roll their eyes B) …the moral being if you get stuck on a watch list you are screwed and they cannot assist you. THE GOOD NEWS…laopuo arrived home Sunday before last and we are very happy to finally be home together.
  18. Hi all, I have not posted in a while as we have been still going through the process of receiving our visa. At MM’s first interview she received a white slip only to be given a blue slip when she returned. Then two weeks later she receives a letter from GZ to return with passport for a second interview. She said when she handed the officer her passport he placed a stamp on the last page of her passport as soon as she handed it to him. During the interview he told her to return the next day to pick up her visa and gave her a white slip. But she is worried that when he stamped the last page that he has refused the visa. Does anyone know anything about this, were there any stamps placed on last page of anyone else’s passport? And if so did you receive the visa? Thanks
  19. Think you missed our datelines...interviewed 3/11/05...recieved white slip. B)
  20. Thanks to all your well wishes and jumpy little they all have helped to settle our nerves as we wait these last few hours before having our visa in hand and MM on the flight home. It has been an extra long wait for us and our hearts are happy that we are finally arriving at the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks again, your support and well wishes are meaningful to us.
  21. I do not know about the China airlines weight limit, but I just called United to check their limit and it is 70 lbs per bag. They can check in two bags on United for the International flight for a total of 140 lbs, about 64 kilograms. And because the flight originates from China the same weight limits apply to the domestic leg of the flight...to sunny southern California. Maybe the China airline uses the same weight guidelines? When I told MM this morning that she could check in 140 lbs I quickly found out she is going out shopping again to make sure her bags are full.
  22. If its not one thing then its another....
  23. This reminds of earlier thread, were wives made their laogong wear slippers in the home. When MM and I joke about this she says our floors will be so clean I do not even need the slippers
  24. Been pacing myself and started cleaning two weekends ago….saved this weekend for the floors.
