We have been living happily in california for about 6 months and have gotten a driver license and a social security card and a green card. What else do we need to do?

A US passport and shes not a citizen all she has is her alien registration card, she has a chinese passport, but those are a pain to travel on.

We are over in the US and im wondering how to get a passport for my wife.

Wondering which calling cards are good and where i could buy them?

IS the visa just a stamp, ink, on the passport, little? Gloria has had a rough time and they keep messing stuff up, so her passport got sent to her paretns house and we are wondering if it has the visa on it. It has a small round stamp that says immigration visa.

Stupid me, sinc ei havent ever filed a tax return, since after i got out of college i came right to china i had my mom be a joint sponsor, well i ddint fil out a 864 at alll, all we had was my moter. =(

Gloria got a blue slip, becuase the 864 form was not filled out all correct, but they kept her visa. Does anyone know if this is normal? So the embassy has her visa right now. Ross

actually im in shanghai, righ tnow and gloria is in gunagzhou and shes gonna come back and were gonna try and get this all right, its a huge f up right now, and i just hope that everything works out. She said she was the only person that did not get the visa, everyone else was happy and she was very dissapointed. I have the co-sponsor, what i didnt have was my own tax forms my mother was the co-sponsor.

They said that they need 3 years of tax returns from me, but i dont have them because i was working in china, and before that was a student. What am i supposed to do? They said that everything was good except the financial information and that i need these tax returns, what should i do. Ross

Do we need to have every form with us for the medical people to put ino the package? Right now we have everything with us except a notarized copy of our marriage, and that s in the mail Ross

Yes it definately did shorten the wait, what i cannot understand was why the lady didnt start untill the end. That man obviously did not have any idea what he was doing. It was good talking, and its always nice to get to do that when your in china. Good luck Ross and Gloria

I did a dfc and when i did i turned the notarized marriage license over to them, and i dont have it anymore, do you know if the officer will have the file? Will i need to get it replaced? Ross

In the document that you are supposed to fill out about your family, in the p-4 packet what is the telegraphic code?

Yes sorry the 864 -a, does that only need to be signed if we are using her money for the 864? Or does it need to be signed no matter what? Ross

No it asks for the sponsored persons signature on page 4.

The chinese notary will not stamp my wifes signature on the 864 form. Under the place where it asks for the person sponsors signature. What did everyone else do to get there wifes signature notarized? Thanks Ross
