  2. I just checked Vermont's processing times and THEY are at Feb 26th. Sounds to me she really doesn't know what she's talking about. I highly doubt that California and Vermont have a processing date of Feb 26th.
  3. I gave her my number and she took it down. So then she said I'm NOT outside normal processing times Since my application was filed in June 08 and they are working on Feb 26th 08.
  4. Here's the response I got after I called the 1-800 number and talked to a live representative. California is currently working on applications which were filed on Feb 26th 2008 so you still have 100 or so days until we get to your application. So, apparently, transferred apps don't go to the front of the line.
  5. I know, it's difficult. I'm in the process of buying a house for us and all she can do is look at the pictures and wish this process would move along. Very difficult.
  6. 19 Months??? Why does this happen? Shouldn't it be a first come first serve process? I mean really, something should be available to us.
  7. It was transferred from Vermont. I updated my timeline to reflect.
  8. I haven't been "Denied" as much as haven't been processed for NOA2. Denied would come back with an explicit "Denied", right?
  9. I contacted my congressman's office and spoke to the person who deals with immigration. She told me to fax a letter and copies of each notification I have received in order for her to put in an inquery at the California Service Center. Is this normal? I though I could just call and give them my case number. Thanks,
  10. I just called the 1800 number regarding my case and got an automated response. They didn't tell me anything I didn't know already about the transfer however it did say this: "Please allow 180 days from the date of the transfer before inquiring about this case"
  11. Yes, I track it online but there is no change from the Vermont to California move.
  12. I received notification that it was transferred to California. It could be lost???
  13. Is this something that's typically done? What methods should be used to contact the congressman (phone/email/letter)? Is there any feedback about the results of contacting congressmen? Does it actually expediate the case? Thanks,
  14. Tomorrow will be 7 months since I received our NOA1. Nothing in my life has ever brought tears to my eyes more than this. If anyone has any pull with "The Force" (may the force be with you) or know Obi Wan Kanobe, please feel free to send vibes to help my case. Thanks,
  15. Congratulations!! I'm excited and happy for you. Again, though, Dave&Hong received their NOA1 three months after we received ours and now they have their NOA2... WTH?? What is wrong with these processsing centers? Dave&Hong, did you go through Vermont on this or Texas?
  16. Richard, I did the exact same thing. I was very careful, provided everything exactly to the extent you did, folders, cover letter, labelled covers. Thanks for the well wishes!!
  17. Well, I guess the question now at hand is: What is the rhyme or reason to application processing? I could understand a few days, a week, but 6 weeks? Gotta love the government.
  18. I would think there would be a first come first serve queue. Like I said, I'm very happy for you guys and happy you got through. I can just Imagine how they process the applications. Is there a big pile there and they stick their hands in and just Arbitrarily pull one out?
  19. Hey Richard, Yes, I was thinking of your case and trying to make heads or tails of the processing methods in Vermont or other locations.. For some reason I thought you were or were previously in the military.
  20. I know this does no good but it is certainly aggravating to hear another member who filed 6 weeks after me get their NOA2 and I'm still waiting. Applied at the same place (Vermont) and I got transferred to California. Though, I just remembered that the other couple (and I'm very happy for them), the gentleman was in or previously in the military. Is that a benefit in getting through the process? Thanks.
  21. This is just an off the cuff, sarcastic reply but, while chatting with my friend the other day he said: Why not tell her to go to Mexico and walk across the border... Anyway, this is a long and grueling process and I hate being away from my wife.
  22. Wow, Congratulations!!!! I'm happy for you, yet I receive my NOA1 nearly 6 weeks before you sent yours in.... How did you get your approval before us?..... Wah wah wah...... But, very happy for you guys!!
  23. wow, that hurts. I guess I'm really, really old
  24. Yes, for us too, the marriage procedure was extremely simple and quick. It was unfortunate for us though that we forgot to bring a camera. But will still have our little red books
  25. oh.... duh.. I see your location Dave: Nokomis Florida Cool. Do you guys have Chinese food stores there? Does your wife feel comfortable in Nokomis? Thanks,
