  1. From my understanding if you leave America for over 6 months or 1 year(not sure) you will "abandon" your green card status. My question is what if you have a job that would require you to stay in China for a year or so? Is there any way let the government know and have them make an exception? (This is assuming you have held your green card for only a few months.) Thank you for your time.
  2. Is there any way to send the embassy an email about our situation? If I did could this even help our situation move along any faster? Both my wife and I have put our lives on hold because of this and we want to try everything we can to move this faster. Thanks for everyone's help.
  3. Yeah been using that site since the start. The only time it ever gets updated is when we contact a US senator to help us.
  4. It has now been over 4 months and I have returned to America, but my wife is still in China. Getting a little discouraged after seeing that some people are still waiting after much longer. Also heard that the new normal waiting time is 6-8 months? Anyone know if this is true? Probably will return to China if this is the case....
  5. Probably will look to get citizenship later down the road so I think she will leave the CCP. Its been 2 months since the interview now and we are wondering what the average wait time is for this type of situation. Does anyone have any idea? I've heard usually 3-4 months after browsing around this website, but not sure. Thank you for the answers/help so far.
  6. She is still in the CCP, and wants to quit after/if we get the visa. We are still waiting in administrative processing now. We have contacted an official to hopefully help us push things along. Been almost 2 months since the interview.
  7. At the end of the interview in Guangzhou my wife was "Preliminary approved." However, due to her membership in the "Communist Party of China" we have to fill out a form titled, "Additional Employment and Education History/CCP Information." It asks us to answer 9 questions. Other than that everything went well. She even received a final processing letter. However, I read online that after submitting this form it might take months to get approved if at all. Has anyone else gotten this before? What exactly does this mean? (I couldn't post the picture of the form for some reason.)
