  1. Alright, thanks so much. For now, I've contacted the NVC and asked them to contact the Consulate for me since I don't have much time for error left. If that doesn't get me anywhere, I'll just resubmit the form using the '+add additional' under the "present occupation" section.
  2. But then all this information would appear under present occupation which it isn't.
  3. I can't, only the Consulate controls the form settings and they reopened my old form rather than gave me a complete new one.
  4. That's so weird, my form only has the 'present' and 'additional' tabs, I had a feeling my form was missing something! My only problem now, is that I have no way of contacting GUZ consulate to ask them to add that tab into my form, since they are completely ignoring my emails. At least you've helped me finally figure out the problem. Thanks so much!
  5. Hi, I submitted my DS-260 almost 2 months ago and was later informed by the consulate that I was missing past work and education information. When reviewing the form, the only field which could be relevant for this information is titled "PRESENT Work/Education/Training Information" and therefore, the first time around, I only inserted my current employer and occupation. Could this be the designated area for that particular requested information? I have emailed the Consulate several times, to no avail. I would appreciate if anyone could share their experience. Thanks
  6. I would just like to verify that I'm not missing any of the documents required to support the I-864 form. We will be submitting: 1. My husband, the USC, past 3 years' IRS tax transcripts 2. His pay stubs from the past 6 months or even longer 3. An employer letter stating his current income (well above the required 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines) and his future income once he transfers to their US offices Should that just about cover it?
  7. Once again, thank you Randy for the quick and reassuring response.
  8. One more question in regards to filing back tax returns for the past few years. Would filing 'married separate' as opposed to 'married joint' have any impact on the green card process and the "totality of circumstance"?
  9. Hi, Anyone know what CITIC bank branches accept the DS-260? Preferably in the Guomao area. Also what do I tell them once I'm there? They seem to be so misinformed, I feel as if I have to instruct them exactly what needs to be done. I just went to a CITIC bank, only to be told that they don't handle these forms and neither does any other CITIC bank branch in the city. Feeling desperate...
  10. Thanks guys for sharing your knowledge and experience and for all the reassurance. I think we just might give it a shot on our own.
  11. Also, when exactly will I be asked to submit the I-864? Do I only provide it at the interview or does it need to be submitted beforehand?
  12. We don't have a place to live yet, that will only be dealt with once we arrive. We do have family nearby my husband's working place though, which we will be able to live with initially until we get settled. That is somewhat of a soft landing. Don't think the immigration officer would care for that though... Have you heard of cases dealing with similar amounts of income being rejected before?
  13. Also, at what what point in the process does the I-864 need to be submitted and with who? The USCIS or the GUZ Consulate?
  14. My husband, the USC, currently has an annual income of $50K and upon our relocation to the US, it will increase to about $90K. We will of course be including an official letter from his employer stating these facts. Would you still advise for a co-sponsor even though these salaries are well above the required 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines? We have no problem finding a suitable co-sponsor, however, if there is no need for it, we would prefer to avoid the hassle.
  15. Once again, thank you for all the help and info!
  16. A question regarding the proof of domicile- my husband, who is the petitioner, has never lived in the States as an adult. Therefore, he does not have a US address, bank account nor driver's license. (He will be visiting the US next month, he could theoretically open a Bank account). He will be filing all his tax returns soon, so that will provide us with one form of proof. Also, we have family in the US who are US citizens and will act as our joint sponsors (don't know if that serves to help the proof of domicile at all... we could use their home address if needed at any point). Most importantly, my husband and I will be relocating to the US through the company he is currently working for, and so we will also have a formal letter from his employer as proof. Should we have a reason to worry or does all of this seem like it should be enough?
  17. msittig, thank you for your response. So if I understand correctly, there are two separate times at which documents need to be submitted at the CITIC bank? Would you mind sending me a detailed list of the documents which need to be provided in step 5. I would be happy to get a head start. Thanks again!
  18. Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I guess I need to contact the Shuang Xiong company. Do you have any idea why a working visa and an employer's letter are a condition when requesting this certificate? I don't see how the two are connected. For instance, I'm not working, does that mean I won't be able to obtain the certificate?
  19. p.s. I am the beneficiary, not the petitioner.
  20. I was actually referring to the Green card process, otherwise, I have no need in it. From your knowledge, the consulate doesn't require a Chinese certificate from foreigners? Even if I have been living in China for the past 4 years?
  21. Hi, thanks. I was actually aware of that. If I'm not mistaken, the beneficiary is required to provide a certificate of no criminal conviction for each country he/she has lived in for over a year from the age of 16, is that correct? Does anyone know how foreigners can apply for a local certificate in China?
  22. Hi Dan, thanks so much. That's the exact information I was looking for.
