  1. My wife and I got married in China ,6 December 2011. She Came to the US on 16 December 2012 and has her 2 year green card. She also has her US drivers license and her SSN card. She is wanting to fly back to China for a week or 2 in the next few weeks. Is there some way for her to get a US passport? Does she just use her Chinese passport? Will she have any problems getting back into the US? Anything that I might need to do? or that we should be worried about?
  2. How do you do electronic processing? I got my NOA1 about 5 weeks ago from Vermont..... I filed the form for notification by email... is there something else that I should be doing?
  3. Thanks for the info.... I had no idea about this.... I think I will send an email to my congressman and senator
  4. Congratulations, I think that is the best outcome that could be hoped for.... And I think everyone uses the same type of excuse to people when they do not want to do something... I know I do
  5. Haha, that is awesome.... I suppose you are right..... Though if my wife is like that, I have not seen it yet..... Still early though...
  6. I sympathize greatly with you.... I think that you are in a very tough position. I think your only play is to speak your mind about your feelings, but tell her it is a decision that she will have to make on her own. I know that it is not one that I would be happy about having to make if I were you. Does she have some drive as to why she is wanting to make the extra money? What is her motivation? I would try and help her work through her issues from that stand point first.
  7. Thank you for the help, I am curious about what you mean by the Skype log? I have looked and looked and cannot find one... the only thing I can think of is the conversation log? We talk a lot every day. Chatting back and forth and some of it is very very personal that I would not really be comfortable sharing with a stranger. I know that is kinda of part of the process, but I would rather not share the intimate details of our conversations if at all possible. Is there some other type of log? We have all of our emails and conversations saved of course, but if I were to print out and send it would be quite alot of information. More like a small novel, at least a hundred pages or more.
  8. Awesome,,,, my cousin is a chief of staff for a congressman.... would it help at all to put in a call to him and see what can be done to help? or better just to put in my paperwork and hope for the best..... also thank you very much for the info on the letters..... my family all know that I am married and have been on skype with my wife many times and have spoken with her often.... I met her whole family and have many pictures with them.... would an affidavit from my mother and father be helpful? how about for one from her mother and family? ..... and then just submit all the pictures of all of us together?
  9. I am filling out my I-130 and getting together all the supporting documentation to be able to file my CR-1. I need a little help though.... I have downloaded the government and instructions on filing the CR-1, but I need some advice on what else to include. 10. Actually this is Marc's advice. http://www.ilw.com/a...0323-ellis.shtm Noted having a relationship with a relative living in the states, was touched on in his article. Thank you very much for the info. There is certainly a great group of people here. I am so glad that I found this site. Thank you again
  11. haha, that is a good point. I think we will of course be honest in what we say. But maybe try and not draw attention to the fact unless they ask. I will see what Marc has to say as well. Thank you everyone for the input. So great to have the insights of everyone.
  12. Excellent! In most cases with low red-flag issues, I tend to go with the DIY approach, in my case that is what we did, however, in this case the mother in the states can be seen as a big red-flag, and in this case a competent lawyer IS a strong recommendation. Yep, Marc Ellis is one of the very best ones that I know of, and I have seen some nightmares of incompetent lawyers too. Marc Ellis: http://www.marcellislaw.com/ Thank you for all the good info. Very Helpful. So it would be best to contact him up front, correct? See what he has to say about our situation and then go from there? Again, thanks to everyone for the help
  13. I am speaking with my future wife now. What do we do if cr-1 gets disapproved? She has been looking on 001.com website that is in Chinese, she thinks that if it is turned down we can just reapply again for CR-1. Is this correct? I just booked a flight to meet her in Shanghai at the end of November. I will spend 2 weeks with her there. I think that I will do the paper work and bring it and we will talk about it there. Then maybe I will go back in March with my son for a week or so. I think this will be the best way. Does that sound good?
