  1. i know this is an unrelated question to the original topic, but if I don't get my statement notarized that explains why I dont have any tax records to show is that going to be something we could get blue slipped for? what would happen?
  2. how long would it take to fix if we got blue slipped for domicile?
  3. would it be ok if my mother scanned the bills I get in the mail and I used that?
  4. The address on the bank accounts is in MN where i live. I do have a MN driver's liscense. I do receive bills there but do my bills most through e-bills. The address IS at my moms house.. could she send me an email saying that or does she NEED to write a letter?
  5. So our interview is in less than a week and I am worried about proving domicile. What we have right now is the following: Bank statements showing bills being paid and american credit cards being used Bank statements showing wire transfers from China to American bank account We are both un-empolyed while living in China...? Emails asking to lease a business in America We obviously cant rent an apartment in america yet because we are both currently jobless. Though I'm worried what we have might not be enough..
  6. i have some questions since our interview is on march 7th As far as time is concerned which is better, picking up the visa in guangzhou or having it sent to our house? Also, the statements that were prepared and not accepted at the initial I-130, can I hand those in on document intake day?
  7. I was very suprised by it too! We had prepared ourselves mentally for a wait! I'm very greatful and feel very lucky. Question though.. im kinda confused by the wording on how much the visa will cost in TOTAL. Can someone tell me how much the fee is in total?
  8. So apparently when filing DCF Guangzhou is no longer sending P4s in the mail for CR1 applicants So today we received an email for the date and time of our visa appointment. March 6th! We are soo excited and all this has happened in such a short amount of time! Any important tips?
  9. I know you can buy UTI test kits in America such as AZO brand or walgreens brand.. but i'm wondering can you buy UTI test kits/strips in China? If so, where?
  10. when im writing the address on the mailing label am I suppose to write that in chinese or in pinyin?
  11. ok so i just send the OF-169 with the boxes checked and signed, the ds-230, a cpoy of his passport's bio page, and the mailing label? Please give me a yes or a no or tell me if I need more... the Of-169 confuses me thats why im asking people on here not just looking at the sheet
  12. Save for interview, the I-864 along with other required docs like police cert, birth cert etc... are turned into the consulate the day before the interview. Only thing from packet 3 that gets mailed to the consulate will be OF-169 and DS-230, packet 3 contains an I-864 for you to prepare for interview, and the instructions with Packet 3 tells you whet to mail to them. http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm So you just send the OF-169 with the boxes checked and signed, the ds-230, a cpoy of his passport's bio page, and the mailing label? Am I understanding that correctly? why does it say this on the bottom of the form then.. Enclosures: 1. Form DS-230: Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration 2. Form I-864, Affidavit of Support
  13. If was abroad for schooling, just note this or not working and how was supported. As for I-864, no your parent is not sponsoring you, you are not the immigrant. Your parent will be joint sponsor of your spouse who is immigrating. You will be primary sponsor, parent will be joint sponsor. Since you are not living at home and not claimed on parent's return, your parent will not be counting you as a dependent either. Ok so do I send these with the packet or save them for the interview?
  14. I haven't worked abroad so this shouldn't be a problem..? Another question i have, so when I fill out my I-864 and my mother fills one out as well (she will be my sponsor), do we send them along with the rest of the packet? or do we save them until interview time. (we are preparing everything now since we just got the go ahead to send everything)
