  1. "Like all these discussions, each person is an individual. ",there are both nice people and mean people in every country. I guess the wives are so soaked in American water that they forget themselves are CHINESE( aren't they?) when they made those negative comments
  2. Asdnoblett said ,for Chinese name, it does not matter at all with or without space inbetween the first name, which means exctly the same. Actually ,YING YING with space is standard Chinese.
  3. Thank you ,tsap seui, I read a lot of your posts , they are funny, your patience during the visa process is very impressive
  4. Most time I read posts here, diving deep in water, enjoy it ,people are very nice ,considerate at CFL My husband took me to Salt lake office for biometrics twice ,because USCIS's computer doesn't recognise my chinese finger prints. First time, after 20minutes process of cleaning and printing my fingers ,the frustrated lady finally said ,OK, let's see if it works. then took a picture for me for my future green card, I got another appointment letter a month later .it was pretty fast printing this time, I was told I had no finger prints (pretty sure it was because they grounded my fingers too long on their computer last time). I asked if I had to wait another month to get another appointment, and told no, they only do it twice whatever kind of fingers they have to deal with. Oops, I guess I am qualified for bank robbery During the process, I got RFE mail twice: 1st time ,asking for previous devorce paper of my husband,(I was asked the same RFE for K1,) I put 2 stamps on the envelope in case it be too heavy and sent by USPS, they did not get it until 10days later. 2nd time asking for certification of good conduct both in China (it was included in K1 paper and AOS application package,too--strange!) and here.I sent by USPS express mail , they got it next day . The very first thing I did when I landed here was applying for SSN, although I was told that my information did not show yet in their computer, they took my ss-5form, looked at my passport, I-94,and birth notary paper. I got SSN 2 weeks later. Next ,I went to bank with my husband trying to join his bank account (for the envidence of AOS),were told SSN was not enough, they need solid evidence for the address of my residence (received envolop was not enough). So we went to driver's license office for my learner permit, fortunately I got it that day The 3rd is AOS application .we sent the paper by Fedex on Oct 17.(I did vaccine shots right after we collected my K1 visa from the post office in Guangzhou).I included the envolope of vaccine evidence from the clinic of Guangzhou addressed to USCIS in my application.--the clinic gave me the envolope right after the vaccine shots. But I did not go to CS for signature or second round of shots here .my case transfered to CSC on Nov 8, I checked my status on Feb 17, and was surprised that it jumped to the last circle.--What !? no interview ?! On Feb 23,I got the green card envelope. Now I have to learn to drive in those crazy mountain curves on highway in 70mph In the AOS application package the following were included(I put both receipt # and A# on every page and on the envelope too-makes it easy to be recognized by USCIS.) 1.cover letter 2.check 3.photos 4.I-485 5.G-325a 6.copies of my passport/I-94/DS-3025/the envolope of vaccine 7copies of birth /no criminal notary paper 8.I-864 9.copy of my husband's passport 10,letter of his employer 11 copies of his 3 years tax return 12.evidence of joining his insurance/bank account 13 pictures with the family hope it can be helping reference for those who are at this stage
  5. She travelled 9000 miles to marry you ,then quality marriage must be the priority, anything that sabbotage it should be brushed into ocean,
  6. I think it is a very efficient office, people are nice there, I have the impression that visa officers are professional ,and know their job very well , they ask right questions. Here is my post on my interview. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?/topic/43494-my-interview/
  7. Thank you ,Xiaozhu p.s. I live in Morgan UT
  8. She speaks english better than I do, its pretty embarrassing actually. She corrects, my grammar all day long in texts, and speech haha.... I grew up in the South! (I am not a farm boy, not that there is anything wrong with that). She has been studying English from a very young age, and while most Chinese youth are excellent at writing, and reading english, most suffer in the conversational aspect. She excels in both. She speaks very proper british english, her accent is one of my favorite aspects. She taught herself most conversational skill sets by watching TONS of british TV. She speaks beautifully. She can read, write, and can spell phonetically as well if not better than the average American. your girlfriend.s English is really impressive, but one of the most important reasons I recommend the Chinese website 001 and these 2 webistes ,is they are far more professional and helpful than a lot of ,if not the most paid lawyers . The focus for your visa process ,in my opinion ,is on how to convince American immigration office both in paperwork and in the interview that your relationship is bona fide, it is very important to frontload the evidences of your relationship when applying for it.
  9. I agree completely with dnoblett(what a fancy name ), Relax , you will get that visa without spending money on lawyer, if you prepare the paperwork with full attention and with the help from here and VJ and 001-- usa.bbs.net/bbs/01/802625.html (a chinese website, your girlfriend can join it ,it is a very a helpful website for american visa in chinese).I prepared my K1 visa paperwork myself with help from my husband (fiance then) and these websites. Good luck! P.S. like all others said here, age won't be a problem.
  10. It is not as difficult as you may imagine to apply a passport in China nowadays . To apply for a passport in China, you need : 1 Application form from passport issuing office, 2 Family book(hukou) of yours and copy, 3 ID card and copy, 4 your photo. 5 around 30 or 40 dollars. You don't usually need your parents' family book unless you are under 16years old or you have not separate yourself from your parents in that book. you may need employers written opinion if you work for government related offices. If you could tell me which city your girlfriend live in, I may find the website and help you more

  18. Thank you õ¹å²Ý I enjoyed reading your post http://candleforlove...page__p__575373 about your interview experience, and thank you for the information about vaccination after interview! I'm going to be in Guangzhou during my fiancee's interview. Prior to reading your post, she called Guangzhou United Family Clinic and confirmed they're open on weekends, so we planned to be in Guangzhou on Saturday and she'll do her medical in the afternoon and get the report the same day if we're there before 3:30pm. It's very good to know that you did the same, so I want to thank you for confirming that. Also, we thought about getting her shots after her interview which you did So you have provided us with 2 great pieces of confirmation, and I greatly appreciate it!! We figured, if she doesn't pass her interview, she doesn't need to endure the pain from the shots Thank you once again, and hope to hear from you again soon!! I am very happy that I can be of some help. it is a strong evidence for your bona fide relationship with you there for her interview--her showing also your passport while being interviewed. When going to Health Care Center of Gungdong International Travel in Shamian Island for vaccine ,make sure bringing her passport copy (write your case number on it) and her extra visa photo. By the way, here is the hotel appartment address and phone No where I stayed, in case you are interested-Vili She&He short-rents apartment. the price is 298 yuan/night-very nice, clean and comfortable(bed is not as soft as american ones though ) ,it has opened since Oct 2010, about 10minutes walking fr American consulate building, right behind Guangzhou east railway station;Vili International(you can see these words on the building) 167Linhe Xi Rd, it is in the same building with Vili international hotel ,once you walk in the lobby ,don't stop ,keep going all the way to the back until you see a restaurant. its reception is in the room1624. 020-28909733, 020-35555507
  19. That's very good information, thank you!! My fiancee's interview is on a Tuesday, so I hope she'll get her visa on Friday or Saturday that week at the post office. Have a good trip home!! Hi BobbyA, thank you, I hope your GF 's interview will be as smooth as mine, Good luck, by the way ,I also had vaccine shots (which is not required for theK1 interview, but will be needed for the green card paper work later) in the designated clinic after interview--it is not completed until do the shots all over again at least 6 week later. it does not need to make appointment with the doctor here ,very simple, just walk in.
  20. I would love to meet with you cuzin' Bullmastiff. We are going to have to wait until after our interview Friday morning though. A couple of other fellows are here in town now also and I want to meet them too. Little rabbit and I are so busy with preparation, endless preparation that she and I must spend these last few days in study, once she returns from the shots you told me about. Turns out CR-1 and IR-1 gets the shots that K-1 doesn't. I know you understand what we are doing. We will be here until the 13th if she gets the visa, our son will go home the day after the interview, yes or no. We will wait the 3 day period and give Mr. Yang the power to pick up the passports if they don't arive in 3 days. If we get teh visas THAT will be the time to meet us. You will meet 2 very happy and funny people. We will have a great time. Good luck to you on your day. I hope the best for you and the rest of the gang in the que. tsap seui Good luck for your and your wife, I am sure you will get red/pink slip this time . my interview was on June 29, and my K1 visa package was in the post office which is not far fr where you stay on July 1.
