Got a touch on 1/12. The website now says The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. Does it mean that the case has been transferred from CSC where it was to a local office? Is this a good or bad thing?

Does one need two sets of biometrics, one for I-485 and another for I-765? We have our appointment for I-485 on Friday but just received the NOA for I-765 two days.

When sending I-765, please be sure on the bottom of the form it says Rev 5/27/2008. The previous one was Rev 4/8/2008.

Note OMB Expiration date is NOT the forms expiration date, it is just the date that Office of Management and Budget has set for USCIS to complete a survey, to determine how long it takes to fill out I-765, as required by the the Paperwork Reduction Act.

The one I can find from the USCIS website expires on 8/31/08. Is there a later one?

Thanks dnoblett. I did file under c9. I think the problem being the top line of the paper form was cut off when I printed it out. Fellowing the advices here, I'll just mail it. Just to make the sure the latest form is OMB No. 1615-0040; Expires 08/31/08?

I tried to e-file this one but the uscis website demands another $340. Why? There is nowhere it asks for the NOA info for I-485.
