  1. I think this is the current one http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf Minimum Income Requirements
  2. March 11,08 passed Fiancee said interview was quick, only a few questions asked. The VO was a nice woman. She only asked for the I-134 and photo's. I still think they already have decided pass or not before you get to the window. The long part was the waiting Good luck and hope everyone has a quick and easy interview like ours. The waiting seems so long and you feel helpless when they are in the consulate. She was staying in the same building as the consulate, people there were scaring her by saying it has gotten more difficult to pass, they said many have not passed lately B)
  3. Good Luck, I'm sure everything will be fine. The waiting is the worst. I still believe they have already made up their minds before the interview and then collect the things they want at the interview. My fiancee's interview was fast, she told me they only ask a few questions, looked at photo's, and took the I-134, that was it. I hope hers is as fast.
  4. Just got txt from her: PINK!!!! Have not talked to her yet about details, glad this part is over.
  5. Thank you, we are very nervous, she was staying in the same building as the consulate and the people there scared her a little by saying the interviews have gotten harder now and a lot of people have failed. I will let you know what happens.

  7. Hi, first time responding to any postings here. I have read a lot and learned a lot from the posts here. You have said something that I was wondering for months. My SO told me that after my first visit to China to meet her, " I have chosen you" We have talked for about 11 months now. I have visited twice. Can that mean she wants marriage? You'll see posts from the romantics; you'd be wise to take them with a grain of salt. She may tell you that she loves you more than life, but it means something very different to her than you. For many Chinese, love is practical. Love is not required for marriage; there are other things more important. And, if all goes well, love will happen in its own sweet time. That's the point of my post. "I have chosen you" means she is committed to making as good a life with you as she possibly can. She will DO the things that make her a good wife. Her emotions will catch up later. Ok, Thanks for the help, I will need as much as I can get. I am trying hard to learn how things are different between our cultures and what the meanings are. Sometimes I think I try to hard. My second trip to see her, by the second day she bought her own little diamond ring and had wedding pictures taken with me, my daughter, her daughter , and her. It took all day long, it was fun. I think my SO and her parents already consider us married. Her family is the best, I like how they take care of eachother, they welcome me and my daughter and treat us as family. oh yes, I have noticed she wont say "I love you" that often, I think maybe I have heard it 3 times, but when I am with her she takes care of me very well.
