  1. Thx. I made a mistake. She is on a K-3 visa. I tried to get a SS no for her but they said that I need to obtain an authorization to work form filled out first. Anyone heard of this?
  2. Question: Did anyone have to fill out the authorization of work form prior to getting the SS card? We were told that she needed that approval first.
  3. Ok, my wife finally arrived. She is on a K-1 visa. We applied for her state ID card, she is enrolling in English classes. What is next? Can anyone give me a list of items that need to be done now? Thx
  4. Well, my wife called. She received her passport with the Visa. She will be boarding the plane in Hong Kong in 24 hours (China Time)
  5. Well, I could not sleep until I spoke to my wife. I am exhausted and have to get up early for work. WE GOT PINK. It is unbelievable. I feel so tired from the whole process. So now the plan is for her to arrive on the 15th. I hope she receives the Visa soon. Thx for everything guys. Thx for listening to me complain and providing the advice to help this dreadful process. For everyone who goes after I - Please be prepared. Make sure you have all your documents. Ask questions here. Check and recheck your documents. I will get more details to everyone once I can speak to my wife via computer. I will get as much details as possible and post what her experience was. Thx for everything.
  6. Congratulations. Hope all goes well. Make sure all the forms are filled correctly. Check and double check, then check again. Make sure you bring a bunch of evidence to document the relationship. Good Luck!
  7. My wife has the overcome appointment. We need to submit proof or relationship. We have - E-Mails - Skype IM's - Phone calls - Pictures - Letter I wrote explaining our relationship Is there anything else I need or would help? As much advise would be appreciated. I want to ensure that we have everything. Thx, Carlos
  8. As I have been thrown in the litigation process, I can say that the best way to resolve this issue is with a class action. I do agree. It seems that my case may not be that difficult. I am just frustrated of the long separation. The K-3 visa was suppose to bring the spouse over quicker, at least I thought. I really appreciate all the advice here and for letting me vent.
  9. You can bring a court action for constitutional violations. I am surprised that people who have had many issues have not commenced a court action. Court actions have a very good way of resolving issues.
  10. You stated: NOTE: DO NOT OPEN THE SEALED BROWN IMMIGRATIONS ENVELOPE! Please, when stating something please clarify for those of us who have not gone through this process. Can you please clarify what the sealed brown immigration envelope is. Is this what you receive after the interview? What is inside the envelope? When do you receive this envelope? Thx, Carlos
  11. I hope I do not have to wait another 3 months. At least all we need is the proof of relationship. If that doesn't work, it will be time to commence a court action and request monetary damages.
  12. From what I have read on the posts, you should attend an ACH before the interview. They will document that. From what I have read, that helps if you are able to do that. Make sure you bring everything you can think of . You do not know who you are going to get or what they may ask. In my opinion, I would even bring everything you needed to provide to USCIS.
  13. I guess that I should be happy that all she has to do is mail the information in instead of going to another GUZ appointment. Once GUZ receives the documents to prove our relationship, what happens when they approve the visa (I am guessing that they will approve by the info that they receive)? Do they call her? Does she go to GUZ to get the visa? Please be detailed in the explanation. I want to make sure I don't miss anything this time.
  14. Lee, Thx. I forward this info to my wife. Carlos
  15. I am glad that everything went great for you. I just want to know why my wife's interview did not go this easy.
  16. As I stated in my posting yesterday, my wife was denied the K-3 visa. We have to provide copies of e-mails and IM's (which is not a problem) which is asked for K-1. GUZ wants her to mail the info to them. So, how long is it going to sit in GUZ after she sends it? Thx, Carlos
  17. We have ongoing communication for 13 months. Problem is, I did not see where we had to provide K1 evidence. If I would have known we would have printed out and been prepared.
  18. Yes, I did file the I-130. There is no GUZ case number assigned to it. Don't know why. USCIS said that the I-129F will process faster than the I-130. The I-129F was mailed April 2, 2007. The I-130 has not been sent to GUZ. If you read what I wrote, that is exactly what they asked for: *** In addition, look at the evidence that they are requesting for the K1 visa. Get all the letters, e-mails, pictures etc. and be ready to provide it in case you get the same idiot my wife got.
  19. Nope. Don't even know what a CR-1 is.
  20. As I stated, I am pissed because my wife and I have been separated for 13 months. She had her interview today - 24Sep07 and was denied. This may have been posted but I am writing it now so everyone understands. For K-3 visas, when your wife receives the P4, provide all the information that is on the P4. In addition, look at the evidence that they are requesting for the K1 visa. Get all the letters, e-mails, pictures etc. and be ready to provide it in case you get the same idiot my wife got. Give them the kitchen sink. I have read all the documentation and nothing states that they want this info for the K-3. In addition, my wife brought all our wedding pictures. I had to be in China for those pictures to be taken. Our marriage license, which means I had to be in China, go to GUZ to get a letter of ability to marry, then get married. They told her they did not want any of that information. They wanted the information as if we were applying for a K-1. So, when you prepare for the K-3, ensure that you are preparing for both the K-3 and K-1. It is funny because the K-3 was suppose to help your wife get here quicker. I think it would have been faster if we would have said we were not married and filed the K-1.
  21. Wish I would have known about this in advance. I read the instructions and the K-1 visa asked for evidence of the relationship. The K-3 visa did not. I provided everything the K-3 asked for.
  22. This really pisses me off. I think they just said no to say no. I think she got a prick and that was the reason she was denied.
  23. My wife said that they wanted copies of our e-mails and pictures of when I went to China. She brought our marriage pictures. They said that they did not want to see marriage pictures.
