  3. Thanks Just going away to college, staying in a dorm. Permanent address will be with us.
  4. changing address for college Step-son is going out for state for college, Should we notify USCIS of a change of address for him?
  5. Yes he would be too far behind if he went back. Its just tuff to handle when she gets in a crazy mood. I read anther post here that sounds like her. Now Im not perfect but when things get thrown and threats come out I draw the line.
  6. Long story I think I married Dr Jekle- Mr Hyde. We are coming up on Removal of conditions I-751. We have tried to work things out. But when the Mr Hyde comes out there is no reasoning with this women. She wants to go back to China and we think a good time to call it off is before we file. The problem is my step-son. He has worked hard in high school. And is graduating with honors. If we call the marriage off before the Removal of conditions all his hard work is for nothing. I don't see this marriage working out. But I'm trying . I'm just looking for advice or opinions with doing or not the I-751. With a child it would be a easy choice, But he deserves a future . Can a removal of condition be done if she is in China and the boy here?
  7. Depending on where you are. My wife and stepson got me started playing badminton. ( not the outdoor one but indoor). Im sure your find some Chinese at these places You can learn as a family and most people who play are frindly. http://www.northwestbadminton.org/montana.php http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00EO-cBr6CU...feature=channel
  8. There are plenty of ESL classes for her to take once she gets to AZ, My wife and her son took one at MCC, But I would recommend the free ones at community centers or churches
  9. When she comes to Arizona there are many places that have free ESL classes.
  10. only 12 did not have ave a host family, about 10 are remaining. I have contacted a company about safety for exchange students she said across America there is about 20 Chinese students without a school. Since these students are from many counties it makes me wonder what total number is. I want to contact the Chinese Consulate so they can put pressure on the State Department to put pressure on this company but he is afraid that might get him a ticket home. And is guess that would not good for him or family (losing face ) I will check with churches I did not think of that.
  11. A foreign exchange student company had a article in a local paper about 12 of 40 students that did not have a host family for here for there 1 month introduction and ESL classes before they went to there host family for there high school year. 1 was chinese since my wife and stepson are chinese I thought this would make his first month here a little easier. Now that month has passed and him and others have no high school or host family. The company found a Charter high school for at risk teens for 7 of the students to go to while they say they are looking for a school. I'm not abandoning this boy. He can stay with us. I check with high schools in my city and they only allow 2 exchange students a year and are full so I can not get him in a real school in my area. If any one can help this boy get what his family paid for message me. I would like to find him a school and family moderators I kept the name of this company out so hopefully this does not get deleted. I will post more information if requested. I have called this company many times, I have called the State Department who oversees exchange stundent companies. This company is in many violations, This is not the 1st time they have brought students over with no place to go. My 1st concern now is to help this boy get what they paid for. ($10,000-20,000) .
  12. I had Kyle and McCain both write letters to Phoenix office. I think it helped ended up with 2 AOS appointments. If you think there unfriendly at the USCIS office wait till you meet the guard for the biometrics. He defiantly needs a different job
  13. I know many people are concerned about there SO adjusting and meeting friends once they get here. Mine played badminton for exercise and fun in China. The times I visited China I never went to her club and watched . I saw people playing in the park . So before she arrived here I bought a badminton set thinking we could play in the backyard. I was WRONG. Not knowing much about the sport. I talk to some friends and found some places to play. The first night we went Lan and her son got there badminton bag together. When we walk in I quickly realized in real badminton there was No beer. I didn’t know what a sport it truly was. Needless to say I had a big learning curve ahead . And have been sore for months. Her 16yo son is good. But in Arizona its only a girls sport in high school . I took him to meet the coach at school . She was hesitant but after she saw him hit the birdies a couple of times that changed. Now he is the manager. I think this helped him meet friends and practice English. After playing a couple times a week I have beat my wife once in singles. When playing doubles I get a lot of practice since I’m the weak link on the team and most shots are aimed at me.( wife aims at my head when she is on the other team) But it gets us out of the house and she has meet many friends there. After 8 months of practice Ill never get to play with the big boys but I really don’t want too since they hit hard
