JonInDenver, Today when I spoke to the nice lady, she told me that Ella's background was first sent to them on 11/13 Ella's interview was 11/18, then she told me that GZ had resubmitted the request 1/4/03, then when I asked about Ella's daughters background check she said it was not completed and no request for resubmission. I asked her why and she to me to call GZ and ask them,LOL. Today was the first time I have been told anything except that background is not finished. She said to call back in two weeks, but how many times have we all heard that before. Tine & Ella Indianapolis & Shanghai

I just got off the phone with DOS, the lady I spoke with stated that Ella's first background check was received on 11/13/02 and that they had resubmitted her background check on 1/4/02. Then I asked about her daughters background check and she stated that it was not completed and was not resubmitted. Then she told me to call back in two weeks. I guess back to the two week B.S Tine

I just got off the phone with DOS and they stated they resubmitted Ella's background check 1/4/03. They stated they received her first one on 11/13/02 and her interview was on 11/18. Then they stated they did not resubmit her daughters. Then they told me to call back in two weeks. So tired of this B.S. Tine

Bob, I had a wonderful time in Nov. When I went fron Shanghai to GZ on the train with my fiancee Ella, enight, and Sandy for their interview, I hope you get to meet Ella, she is so wonderful. Tim, It is so great that you have great employer support. My company has supported me this past year. I have been able to spend a total of 5 weeks this past year with Ella and her daughter. I hope all of the delays are over very soon. I think the FLOA is a good idea for anyone who have limited vacation time. I have used all of mine for this year, and since that we are not married yet I do not think I could take FLOA in my case. Have a great time in China, keep us updated. Nicole, Please don't give up hope. Ella and I started the K-1 last Feb. My Ella is so wonderful, if my mood is not good I know it will make her sad. We give each other support every day. Since her and her daughters interview she has seen several of her friends that had interview on the same day get their visas and she is still waiting on background check to be completed. I know all of you in the Jul.-Aug- Sept-Oct group have been waiting so long and I hope your clearences are done very soon. But when she stated that the Nov. clearences have been taking about two weeks to complete ???? I know Ella is just about to the 8 week point. Makes you wonder. Could anyone tell me when the last time anyone here has found out from DOS that there back ground check was finished. Second question how long has it been since anyone has received EMS from GZ to come to pick up their visa. I am going by Senator Richard Lugar's office on monday morning. Well Said Owen, I also agree 100%. And as JonInDenver wrote, I too was told to call back on Jan. 6th. But normaly I call DOS every day or every other day to chek the status. On 1/1/03 I did write personal letters to Ms. Harty, GZ, and Senator Richard Lugar R-IN and asked for there help, and i did ask in a very polite way. I was tired of doing nothing and if I can get Ella here any sooner I will try anything. Tine

Happy New Year To All, At midnight I hugged Ella's & Kelly's picture and kissed the picture. I am a very stong man, but I cried and prayed that that I soon will be able to have them here with me.
