Just received the GC 10 days after the interview

Congratulations! What did your interviewer ask to look at? The interviewer asked for my wife's EAD (it was confiscated at the end of interview), her passport, my drivers license, pictures from our recent vacation, I also gave him her health insurance card to show that I've enrolled her into my health plan, which the interviewer said is a very strong proof of a bona fide marriage.

I'm planning to bring these items w/me to the K-1 AOS interview, are these sufficient? Original I-129F & G-325a I-129F NOA2 Copy of I-131, I-485, I-693, and I-765 I-864, most recent bank statement & pay stub, 2008 tax return Copy of marriage certificate Pictures & airfare purchase confirmation from the trips we took after her arrival My Birth certificate & passport Her passport w/I-94 Her Birth certificate w/English translation Her SS card, EAD card, AP, fingerprint appointment letter Credit cards under her name as the authorized user of my cards Letter from the Bank showing her name & current address. I'm a naturalized USC, so for my wife's I-485, Part 3 B, should I still put my old A# on it? Thanks.

More questions: My wife has adpoted my last name on the marriage certificate, do we use the new names for AOS filing or the old name? What is the lead time between notice of AOS interview & the actual interview date? Thanks.

Thanks. Few more questions: 1. How difficult would it be to re-schedule the AOS interview date? 2. The $1,010 filing fee covers AOS, EAD, and AP document, correct? 3. All 3 abovementioned forms should be sent to the same Chicago address, correct? 4. Should I use separate envelope for each form, then put them all in big USPS Priority Mail envelope? If so, the check should be included in te AOS envelope, correct? No - UNLESS she were to have an interview scheduled during that seven weeks. A bio-metrics appointment is more painless to re-schedule, but almost certain to come before then anyway If you want to try to juggle the timing a little, you could delay filing. If you're K-1, that SHOULD be okay, but not for the feint of heart. I'd recommend filing soon and taking your chances with the interview date.

Thanks, one more question, since we're k-1 applying for AP document, there is no need to fill out part 4, 5, and 6. However, we do need to include a letter of explanation per part 7 requirement, correct?

For the G-28, what should I put in the <Date> & <File No.> fileds in the first block? Thanks.

I have a related question, I'm about to file the AOS packet this week. My wife is planning to go back to China for 7 weeks in Oct. My question is that in case we don't receive the green card prior to her departure, using the AP alone, will the length of the travel cause any problem at the POE?

Thanks for all the replies, one more question, if one failed the TB test, can the CS read the GUZ x-ray? or the reading has to be done by a radiologist?

So what is the consensus here? Is TB test required or not? Does the CS have to fill out I-693, part 2, section 2(A)? Can the CS issue a x-ray report or does it have to be done by a radiologist? Thanks.

Thanks for all the replies. We just went to see a local CS, based on what he told us, since the I-693 instruction for K-1 visa holders does not mention anything about the TB requirement (I-693, part 2, section 2A), there is no need to perform the skin test. Is this correct? I seems to remember that the TB skin test is required.

I used that link already, however the problem is that most of them do not understand that K-1 does not need to have the whole physical done, so I'm specifically looking for CS who has the knowledge about the k-1 requirement.

Can anyone provide me with reference for CS in Bay Area who will do the I-693 transfer? Thanks.

Just a follow up question: I'm in the process of filing the AOS for my wife (k-1). For the I-693, all we need is to have a civil surgeon to translate the vaccination record (yellow book). The actual medical exam record has already been submitted during the GUZ interview, correct?
