And you know for a fact it isn't M.E.s first rodeo. He wanted stories and he got them. If he wanted them to build a case or throw a bright light on the situation, bully for him. If he was looking to troll for cases then he's a jerk[or ambulance chaser].

You could just take a chance get the round trip for yourself and a single for the SO on the same. If you do that make sure you pay extra and get the option to change the return leg.

Robert S., You are totally right. However two things you don't explain worry me. Who makes the determination what should go back and who says things are/aren't safe? Remember the Buddas getting blasted in the cliffs? Logically that should have been answered by a force sent in to protect them from further destruction.

He could be starting out the practice and looking to see if it's a good field to get into. Lots of potential clients? Now he's got free background material. Or it could be he did get alot stuff to go through and needs time to get everything filtered.

Yes it works and they really do reply. You will not however be satisfied with the outcome most likely. You will not get any info out of them that isn't in any letter they send later. Nothing case specific like your case is scheduled for next tuesday. More like the applicant will be notified by mail when the case is scheduled. There was a way to pay into an account and get a phone number to call them, but I never went that route. Someone will add/correct me about this.

The guy I saw was insisting he had a passport and could go whenever he wanted. The Chinese security guy and him kept louder and still never spoke the same language. I'm not sure what petition he had filed for but his SO had been denied the day before and he was going to straighten the GD thing out. Linen shirt, cargo shorts and yes black calf shocks and sandals. Truely a "I'm not with him" moment.

When I was there I ran into a gentleman who was pissed. He wouldn't accept that he couldn't get to the 5th floor till 9[?]. Guz was running interviews that day. I never saw him again and wonder how he made out. Ugly American personified.

The pendulum has swung pretty far to the nanny state. Casinos and bar revenues are down. Add the fact that there are fewer smokers and you knew someone would come up with something.

I think if they check they will know. I don't think they have a master program running to match up all arrivals to petitions, but at some point during background check they might check number and length of visits.

Sebastian, The I-94 is filled out while you're in the plane[as far as I remember] with the where are you going to stay etc. I'm sure they cross reference with the passport and visa number but I don't think they are the same. JMHO

I don't know about the GIV-24 thing. If you can, maybe get it done and take to ACH before hand. I do know they won't mail the visa outside Guangdong[?] provence. If it all goes smooth at the interveiw 2-3 days before you can pick it up at the post office is normal. There was one case I read of here where the guy made arrangements to pick it up at the consulate himself.

Yes Robert S., there's the rub. Who makes the call? Art is in the eye of the viewer. A painting is portable and can easily be moved around. Hacking bronze heads off and destroying the whole concept of the piece ...neither one say I.
