  1. Luckily my SO really helped out this time. He went to the citizen service in the consulate yesterday and a nice visa officer let him pick up my visa package in the afternoon. So didnt we not only pay that 20 but also got the visa package one day in advance. Happy end.. Thanks again guys,i'll catch you up soon!
  2. hey guys., just wanted to say hi and let you know that i was approved my k1 visa on last Friday..didnt have a chance to get online until my SO had his laptop connected.. Errr..some minor problem happening to here right now..i'm kind of stuck ,hehe..i was being too excited and i didnt know i had to fill out some damn form for the pick-up service from the post office before my visa is really to be picked up.So I'm going to have my SO get back to the consulate and see if he could possibly fix that. Not in a very good mood, but at least i got that damn visa approved.I'm going to post more details about the interview when i get back to Shanghai. And God i had wait for like half a year to finally almost be able to get the visa, but now i just am feelling all shitty and guilty. That's the most stupid mistake i've ever made..oh yeah..i should have read more carefully about what's on my RED slip.,,but too late..i never read any instruction. So that's the whole story that i'm kind of got into right now,and that's just so lame. But what i really wanted to say here is to say thank you all guys here for being so supportive and wise-oriented for me! Those 6 months in the past was suffering but it worths suffering, and my suffer is still not quite end yet..OH man i got stuck!!
  3. Yep..just came back from 001. and i saw a lady who is either K3 or CR1 was talking about getting an accommodation in GUZ for the interview and her interview will be in April. She didnt mention any specific date though.
  4. And I think the best posture for the visa officers is to take a positive and respectiful and less-ruder approach to all of the applicants going all the way from all over the mainland China to be conducted interivews at the consulate all over the world regardless of the color of their skin...(Chinese might be notorious on making false marriages to enter the US or some other developed countires, but not all the Chinese applicants are doing that. )
  5. Excellent Ken! This is one of the best posts i have ever read in here! Thank you so much for your encouragement!
  6. Congratz! Jie and Ken! U've made a perfect model for me.I hope my interview will turn out real good too in 3 weeks!!! Jie's impression to me is really a brave and smart girl.I adore her and at the sametime I hope your girl who's from the same city as me will bring me the best luck on getting the red slip. Again,am really really really happy for you guys!!! and Have a safe flight back home together next weekend!!! YOUPI!!
  7. Your timeline looks good, and it's as fast and clear as mine:D Your SO will get her interview date very soon! All the best to you!
  8. I called DOS once asking about that too,the lady told me that at they were doing the pre-interview clearance (which i guess thats what some basic namecheck takes places). This Pre-P4 process occurs to every single applicant,so dont worry about anything, just wait for like 1 month or so till you get your interview date.( I called DOS again 3 weeks after being told that my case was undergoing pre-interview clearance..and i got a interview date)!
  9. Pictures of your daily lives together and pictures taken with your SO's family memembers also work!
  10. that's encouraging news!! Getting P3 i reckon is the most crucial part in the whole visa journey. So good stuff!!
  11. wow..2/7!!! Good for you!! Very impressive, hehe! mine is scheduled on 2/24. Wish your good luck from 2/7 will bring another good luck to 2/24!!!
  12. pls add me into the project. 11-24-05 P3 02-24-06 interview. Thanks, susieq
  13. i have no idea why i'm moving so fast...i went through several posts on 001 and it came to me that there are three things that might be holding up one's case against moving forward.. 1.Too many petitions need processing in one's USCIS centre. 2.DHL holding-up 3.Namechecks and ever since i knew CFL, i learnt to keep calling NVC and DOS from time to time as to make sure that my case is not being 'abused' with any of the aboved troubles.. Good luck with your case and hope you can hear from your next progress very soon!
  14. Thank you ShaQuaNew. You've made a great reply post for me! I just graduated in June this year and didnt even attend my graduation ceremony just wanted to fly back home and meet my most beloved the next day after i got back home!!! Well we started to draft our petition 3 months after i graduated and he finished his second visit to China.Regarding to the denial, the VO told me that i can't apply for a tourist visa in a foreign country and i should go back home and apply for it there simply because applying for the tourist visa in a foreign does not show strong tie to my home country...and lots of people told me afterwards saying that holding a Chinese passport just wouldnt work anyway..blar blar blar.. I'd love to make a call log but it seems to me a bit late to do that..they wouldnt reject me because of lacking that only one type of relationship evidence right? ( i keep all my used phone cards though!!!) good stuff you guys, your posts and the DOS call did make me feeling much better!! susieq
  15. OMG..guys!! i can't be too excited atm!! Just wanted you know that i just got the interview date from dos !! Mine has been scheduled on 24th,Feb 2006!!!!! Anyone who's timeline is smiliar to mine, heads up!!!!!!!!! And Cerberus, P4 arrival before the Chinese New Year, you do have your way;-)
  16. our k1 case have both advantages and disadvantages.. Advantages: 1.We are both at legal ages to marry each other and both of us are in our twenties. 2. We dont have a huge age gap and neither of us has previous marriage. 3. We communicate in English well..thanks to his patience and our true love! 4 I am not a member of any party. 5.My SO has a stable job for years and he doesnt have financial problem. Disadvantages: 1.Speaking of how we got to know each other,I met my SO online rather than in real. 2.He has only visited me twice in China (once each year since our relationship were well estabilished) 3.We do have heaps of evidence(photos, emails, msn webcame snapshots, gifts, his plane tickets etc.),but the only thing that we dont have is the phone record.(We both buys the cards at the grocery stores which don't allow us to print out any phone log) 4.I once applied for a tourist visa when i was a university tudent in New Zealand trying to visit him in the begining of last year even before we met in person certainly i was denial a visa....in a foreign country;*( 5.We didn't hand in much evidence stuff at our petition stage,i remembered that we only handed in a couple of photos of us, our personal statements, and my SO's visa copy of years he came to visit. I'd very like you guys to take a look at my stuation again, and keep giving comments to me and help make me get rid of some unneccessary worries.. And many thanks to your guys such detailed replies!!! Susieq
  17. So i'm a k1 case, and per nooneufo's Blue slip/Denial post, i started to concern about the number of time that me and my SO have been met.nooneufo has raised some good point..in that,we, as the beneficiaries do have to go over to the States and marry our fiances within 90 days but some of us did have little time spending with them and will have to leave our own families and friends in China when we're about to marry our SOs! In my particular case,i bumped into my SO online two years ago when i was still a student studying overseas and we only met twice spending a couple of weeks each year after that(2004 and 2005). We both had our work and study commitement and we just spend time together as much as we could, that was the maximum time we made together. My SO also would like to make a company with me to GUZ when the interview date comes along, which would be his third visit to China for me. So if a VO is still gonna think that we have spent too little time with each other for a 2 year long-distance relationship while he/she is judging me on'giving up' my parents and friends and go living with sb in another country whom has only spend 1-month's time in total with for the past two years ,how am I gonna prove to the VO that we do have a bona-fide relationship and we did everything we could to max up the time spending with each other in real for the past two years? Can anyone help me out here?? ps..and also i'd love to let our GUZ VOs know that for Chinese k visas, due to the political barrier, one's ability of getting a tourist visa is considerably limited..if i was like the one whose country was offered by the US visa waiver program,i'd love to go over and visit my fiance as many times as i could within my financial budget..so would they better not stress too hard on this 'number of a couple have met' issue.
  18. hehe..Merry X'mas to everyone and i wish i could show Santa what a k1 visa stick look like on the passport,so he knew what i wanted for Xmas/New Year/Spring Festival/Valentine's Day/Labor Day/Chinese National Holiday..woohoo..that's a way too late than i would expect..so shall i just stop here;) Again,Merry Xmas to all the loved ones and let's get wasted and be merry!!**
  19. i did both too, just wanted to let them know that i am able to write both Chinese and English..hehe
  20. Thank you very much for your fantastic prediction,I'd very love to take your word,Cerberus!!! Because that's what i was thinking of the whole day today! I remembered that those who got their P3 a month ahead of me got their interview dates about 1 week after my P3 date.So logically,i shall have my date pretty much soon in about a week from now on which is the time that JoeAndJing just got his P3.youpi!! Congratz to JoeAndJing and now you're in the P4 waiting list. P4 is not as much worried as p3 await so shall you have a bit rest now;) ...and also a lesson that you've just learnt...do not phone 4008 and listen to them bullshiting about your case, you'd get nothing but a sigh from them.Do DOS,they are more responsible for the answers!!
  21. i would give myself 2 months of await for P3 to come from the date my case was sent to GUZ from NVC,any day beyond 2 months would have made me panic in hell! I would suggest you find out the date of your case being forward to GUZ and use "I-730" reference to track your case status through DHL.It's not going to be precisely correct about what are your case are currently being ended up,but it gives you an general idea about whether it's been arrived in DHL GUZ site waiting for custom clearance or it's been sent to the destination which in this case is US consulate in GUZ. You just need to find out where the hell it is yourself as institutions such as NVC is not going to give you any info other than your case number and if it's been forwarded to GUZ. Waiting for P3 is pretty a pain in the ass but we all need to go through it as there's no way they cannot process your case any further if they dont get your hardcopy of your case physically.Getting lost...?Less likely as I assume that they are good people with good working attitudes who are working at NVCs in the States.. As far as I know, there are quite a number of members from 001 who still havent got their P3 since late Sep.I guess you guys would be on the same boat and I really hope you get P3 as a Xmas gift this year. Try to call DOS and ask if your case has been input into the system, once they tell you that the GUZ guys sent you P3 on a certain date, that would actuall be the date that they input your case into your system but the really date that you receive P3 would be within 2 weeks after that date they told you about. yeah, and Cerberus you're real good, hehe,i'd appreciate if you could give me any prediction on my P4 date, would be awesome! hehe^-^ merry Xmas to both of you! Susieq
