  1. is there anyone has experience to change a chinese passport due to the name changed in San francisco china embassy either you or your spouse? i have already submitted my AOS and received the NOA1, therefore i am thinking to work on my passport named change. is anyone know that is ok if i change my passport before the EAD or AOS approve? or better to wait? another thing is i am trying to get my DL after done with my passport and SSN name changed. i read about the California DMV info. they require the Name change documents. it says:if the name on your birth date/legal oresence document is different from the name on your ID card applocation, you must also bring an acceptable true full name document. So that means, the name on my passport and on my birth certificate will not be the same.where can i get the name change document? anyone has the same experience when you go thru it? will they let you take the exam if you only have the NOA instead of green card or EAD?
  2. my forms are almost ready to go...and there is one form bothers me which is G-325.i did search, unfortunately,it's all the info. about G-325A came out. so,here is my question: do i(Applicant) and my hunband(US citizen) both need to fill out the form G-325 if i have already filled out G-325A(4 pages)? does anyone fill out the G-325 before for K1 holder's adjustment and yourself? if you(US citizen)did, what should my husband specifiy for "the form is submitted in connection with applicantion for"?what should he specifiy when he ticks the box-'other'? any idea?thx...

  7. we called about 10 civil surgeons to compare the prices. yes, just like everyone says, they all want you to do the physical exam to charge me more. at first, we made an appoinment for tomorrow, they charge us $95 for just fill out the form and get the doc. signature. but we found another place only charge us $25. then we called back and cancelled the appoinment, that lady asked me why, so i told her the turth coz you guys charge more... well, we will see if they charge$25 like what they say when we get there tomorrow.
  8. We intend to do the same, get the shots in PRC before going to the US,and bringing a translated copy of the record to the US. Mind if I ask, how much did the vaccs cost? 181797[/snapback] well, i got my shot at the same place where i had the medical exam before my interview. i am sorry i can not remember the exactly price, but i think it's around 250-300yuan for the 3 shots, and they will give you the yellow boolket for free.

  10. One question about the Vaccination. i am the K1, after i passed the interview, i got 3 vaccines in GZ and picked up a yellow booklet called' International certificate of Vaccination' before i left GZ. Does that mean i do not have to get another vaccination here for my AOS? is there any K1 holder has the similar situation, please give me advice, thanks. if that is the one needed for from I-485, i am not sure to attach the original one or just a photocopy?any suggestion? thanks...

  15. Hey guys, i am the K1 holder.Actually, me and my fiance will get married and sign the marriage certificate on the same day on Jan. which is 78 days after i arrived in America. so, that means i only have about 10 days left out of the 90 days. so, one thing i am very conservative about is Once i entred into America, the K1 visa will be expired after 90 days,is that right? So, if i get married only 10 days before the 90 days, what should i do about my visa? 'Coz i know it takes a long time for the Gov. to process it. i read the info. says i have to get married within 90 days after i arrive in America and then file the AOS form in 30 days after married. do you guys think it's ok if you get married close to the 90 days? at the same point, we will get married within 90 days . However, we will file for the AOS after the 90 days have passed. Will this cause any problems on my visa and stay here? is it better to get the SSN before we get married?i still have not applied for the SSN yet. and i have been here for about 40 days already. DavidZixuan has already provide me a lot of info. thanks a lot. But i am still confused about my personal situation. Do you guys have any suggestions? i will be appreciate it. Thank you so much.
  16. Thank you for your help. i will go though all to figure out what i should do.
  17. Hey,DavidZixuan, thanks to provide such useful links to us. and i got great help from the info. you provided on CFL. thank you so much. the good thing is i passed my interview on late Oct. and now i am in Amercia. i read that you have already sent I-485 out. So, one thing i wanna make sure is that i can not do anything about the Social Security No. or the Green Card before i get married, is that right? after marriage, i must fill out forms and send all them out within 30 days, correct? i hope you can help me so that i dont need to worry about miss out anything. Thank you so much, my friend.
  18. Hey, I have a question. I am the K1 Applicant, right now I have all the documents in P4 except OF-171 (Appointment letter for immigrant visa applications), but instead, I have another document in hand called ¡®Letter to K1/K2 Applicant¡¯. So I got confused about those two. Can anyone kindly tell me that if I missed out the OF-171 or ¡®Letter to K1/K2 Applicant¡¯ send to K1 applicants instead of OF-171? Or, if I really miss it, can I use the print out form? Thank you!
  19. i think she can get the Standard Telegraphic Code in 'China Telecom Co.'.they have a booklet for you to look for your SO'a name. i did this when i filled out my P3.
  20. is there anyone can tell me that where do i need to pay the visa application fee (3078RMB) and when to pay it? i knew that i have to pay the visa process fee (830RMB) to CITIC bank before the medical exam and keep the receipt. or, pay the 3078RMB just right before the interview day? any details?
