A car with a direct injection fuel injection setup needs the low sulphur content. Saudi Arabia and China just don't cut the mustard (er, sulphur). Most cars would do just fine since the octane ratings are similar.

I would think that even at the 37%-47% tax that a car, in good condition, and about 5-10 years old might be worth considering IF they go by present value. But mine won't take the higher sulphur content of their gas.

Looking for tips, (I'm a newbie)

Yes - she does NOT have to go to China for the interview - it WILL be at the consulate which serves her present address - but this is ONLY for the K-1 or K-3 visas. A CR-1 interview (I believe) takes place in her country of citizenship. -
Almost all web sites use encrypted connections for transactions - corporate web sites are aware of the need for a VPN setup when connecting from outside the company firewall. There shouldn't be a problem The rest of the article isn't important.

There's no reason why they would either take it or not take it, except as a courtesy to her so she has her EAD card until the green card arrives. Taking the EAD before the green card arrives would leave her without a US government ID.

I'm sure that his constituents are appropriately impressed in this election year. This is just business as normal for the Chinese government - it's unclear why the hotels would be involved. If you want a secure connection, use a secure site (https:) (transmissions are encrypted), a VPN connection (connects to a secure server), and/or proxy servers (although they can still see what's being transmitted), and/or Jim's super-proxy, whatever it's called. Jim's program uses a secure connection. Key stroke monitors can only work if they're installed on your computer.

Canada Layover/Transit visa
Randy W replied to Brian & Kathy's topic in Communications, Planes, Shipping & Money
I'm hearing about a burst water pipe at the airport, things broken from shelves, etc. They said it was close to the surface, which helped to amplify the movement a little. Glad everyone's okay. -
[dumb questions] So, is American Citizens Services the same as the American Citizens Hour on Mondays from 3 to 4? It was 2:30 to 3:30 and they recently changed it right? Will I need to make an appointment for ACH now? [/dumb questions] Jeff No - ACS is when you need to get a passport extension, or other normal consulate-type stuff.

The derivative visa issues are the same, whether K-1/K-2, K-3/K-4, or CR-1/CR-2. They will have to interview at the same consulate, but not necessarily at the same time. The K-3 (spouse visa), however, would bring in another option - she would interview for the K-3 where you get married (which could be Hong Kong, for example) Those are the options - your choice. -

They can interview separately, but I think they do have to go to the same consulate which serves the address that you put on the original I-129F petition. The I-130 is a good alternative - two different petitions would be filed, so they could go to the two different consulates. The only drawback is that the processing time for the I-130 could only begin AFTER the marriage, like Dan says, so you're looking at a couple of years to get her son here. -

Someone (member name audelair)did this a couple of years ago in Australia. She will interview at the consulate which serves her current residence for a K-visa. Her son might interview in Hong Kong, but then again they may have to keep the paperwork together - I don't think we've seen this. The K-2 child of a fiance is a derivative visa - no paperwork is filed by you (the petitioner). Without the paperwork for the K-1 parent (which would be at the Toronto consulate), I'm not sure they can process it. To have them both processed it Guangzhou (or Hong Kong, wherever she lives in China), you will need to provide her address there on the application. But you can only provide one address, since you are only petitioning for one person. -
Alien Registration Number for K1 Visa?
Randy W replied to yaya44's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
Yes - you NEED to find it - we have seen cases where two files were opened because of a second A number being assigned - not good. Look on your NOA2, and/or the I-94 (it begins with 'A'). -

"Contact DHL" means that GUZ needs to contact DHL to arrange delivery. This usually means that GUZ needs to sign the customs papers. They'll get to it when they get to it.

The silliness is rapidly compounding here. No one (no entity) gets to choose what they're being criticized for, although sometimes it does come from within.

She is K-1, and legally authorized to work, and may get a card until about 10 days before she reaches the 90 day mark. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=124324 Print out a copy of one of the SSA's documents so you can show it, if needed at the SS office. If she is "Legal Alien NOT allowed to work", she must show a government agency that requires her to get a SSN. This won't work.
-
I think that was pretty innocuous, though. I'll bet you simply got in the wrong line, and then were led to the correct place. They will often pull new immigrants into a room where they can be processed. We were even treated that way when using the AP. The worst punishment for answering "I don't know" would be to be admonished that you need to get married within 90 days. Welcome to the US.

Two trips within the last year wouldn't raise anyone's eyebrows. The problem the OP has is NO trips within the year before the interview.

They've already started http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/78/Small_sand_castle.jpg I seen a picture recently that I wish I could find now. It was of the great wall, but if the caption didn't say that, nobody would ever know it. It was the western part, but it looked like little more than a rift of sand piled in a line as far as the camera could see. I guess they still got some restoration work to do yet.
