Yes/no so you are saying non stop is not non stop? I have no experience from Houston, only Newark to Beijing. If Continental says non-stop to Shanghai then you think it is 2 stops? I have never seen a flight that lists as non stop, but does indeed have two stops. Have you? This is your (actual) non-stop from Newark to Beijing You mean an actual (non-non stop) flight from Houston, not Newark. My flight from Newark is non stop. I did not fly thru Houston. I suppose you could always fly to Houston first and then take the PHONY "non-stop" from Houston to Beijing

Arrival at customs in chicago

I'd say you're talking out your gazoo again "dave"Consider that a few posts I made in this thread were deleted for whoknowswhat reason, removing also the context. "dave" and "luli" plus a few others enjoy this PUTDOWN mode. Don asked for a cooldown so please respect his wishes. Try to restrain yourselves. Well if anyone would recognize talking out of their gazoo...I am so shocked that actual Oscar posts would be deleted too Dave... I have to take some "medicine" and ponder this... Yes shocking. B) See? Comical and sad. No respect from the putdown meisters at CFL. Perhaps you'd care to meet them in another thread? -

Year of the Mouse, Mickey that is

Disney was a believer in the herding approach to line forming for a long time ("Please fill in all available space"), so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch for them -
They should provide a police report saying exactly this - that she doesn't show up on their records. In this case, no-shows are good. The City of Houston gave us a similar "Haven't seen her" police report (we had to go get it in person since the HPD didn't like her fingerprints).

Buying musical instruments in Chinertucky

PM Tony (aclassic). He's more into classical music, but might be able to help. He goes to Guangzhou once in a while to buy various stringed instruments. -
I believe it'll be at the same Application Support Center as for the I-485. Others have said their appt notice came pretty quick.

90 days before 2 years after the expiration date, which is on the green card. You will get an NOA1, which will extend her status for 1 year (be sure she takes this with her if she leaves the country). Others can chime in with their expeience - we went straight to the 10 year card, since they took so long to process her AOS application

Just for a heads up here (you may already know this), BUT - Pluto is no longer a planet -
A non-bonafide relationship is a non-bonafide relationship. They are REQUIRED to deny (in their view) non-bonafide relationships.

Marriage in China vs USA with K1
Randy W replied to shadeOgray's topic in Consulate Process: P-3 ~ Interview
Ok still allot to learn, what's an AOS interview...no one throw the dunce hat at me, I know I should probably already know the answer to that but I don't I don't understand once you're approved and the marriage book date is after the approval how it would matter one way or the other. Humpf! Stupid draconian immigration rules... You file for AOS after she gets here and you are married. Like I'm saying, I wouldn't think so either, but some people swear up and down it can cause I denial. You don't want to be the one to find out. -

The response is usually, "No you can't". Myself, I'm not so sure it would cause any problems. The problem is that you wouldn't find out until your AOS interview. You would be bring a wife into the country, instead of a fiance. Even so, it's hard for me to believe that that would be "visa fraud" Wait 'till she's here. -
Latest-Greatest BEST WAY to call China
Randy W replied to griz326's topic in Communications, Planes, Shipping & Money
Believe him. It wasn't. -
3 applications may all go together in the same mailing. If not, you will have to wait for the I-797C for the AOS application to include with the others. The I-797C they mention to include with the AOS application is the one for your I-129F application. It's the NOA2 Notice of Approval. Consider the three different applications as if they really were three different applications (they are). Don't try to cross-reference. You must MARRY within 90 days of arrival. Get the applications in when you can.

What are you missing here? All discretion is in the hands of the VO, who would only need to point to this paragraph. I won't disagree with anyone about what constitutes "specific evidence" or a "bona fide relationship", but they (unfortunately) are obligated to deny anyone they feel has a non-bona fide relationship. The reasons come later, and only need to satisfy what they consider as the letter of the law.
-
well, yes. There's a myriad of situations that that question covers. Yours is just one, and very simple.

Not exactly true. This common misunderstanding/misreading of the law can lead to a lot of misplaced anger at the process. http://www.ilw.com/articles/2006,0323-ellis.shtm A minor, but important, distinction. All DHS has done is determine technical eligibility for a visa. As unfair as it may be, GUZ is the sole arbiter of what a "bona fide" relationship is. . . . and the consular officer ALWAYS has substantial evidence which was "unknown and unavailable to DHS at the time it approved the petition" in the form of the P3/P4 packets and the interview itself. The point is that it is VERY easy to satisfy the letter of the law, regardless of what is read into it. What HKG is doing is similar to arguing with a police officer about what illegal things HE did in the process of pulling you over.

Simply put, "My actual birthdate is different from the ID". No reason why she can't tell the truth and still keep all her documentation on the date the ID shows. Check her birth certificate - I'll bet it agrees with the ID. My understanding is that it would be virtually impossible to correct within China. This problem usually occurs with the wrong date, but within the same month. My wife's ID and birth certificate both say Dec 9, so we carried that over to her paperwork here. Her birthday was actually Dec 29 (although her mother revised that to Dec 31 just last year).
