I think it has to do with you (petitioner) maybe helping your girl in some way. I am sure all of us here would try to calm them down and maybe try to explain what they are trying to say. I don't think its realistic to say you would stay in the corner and be quiet. Not if a white or blue was issued, you would have something to say, so it gives the VO too much power if you ask me.

Good question Dylan, I was looking into this as well. I will be submitting my past 3 years for taxes and get them notiarized at ACH as well.

How much are the hotels in GUZ? When I stayed in Xinagtan, the hotel was 200 USD for about 9 days.

How long would I have to stay in GUZ for? I think the medical is in the same area as the interview, so we get that right before interview... I would say plan for 1 week...sound about right?

I recommend that you include within you "Letter of the Evolution of Relationship" the reason why you only made 1 trip (work? cost? etc...) and that you are in China for the interview. Good Luck! My girl said the same thing..I decided that I will be going to visit her regardless of the money...and I will bring a letter of evolution of relationship too.. Since she is getting her P3 now, she should have her interview around March or April...time to start planning..

Thanks everyone for your advice. I am thinking about going there for her interview and if everything goes well, fly back to the States with her. I do make a good amount of money a year, but I do go to school and work full time, but its not easy to just fly over there with debt already here of course. You can read many posts where the question of "how many times has your husband or fiance visited you" I don't know what flight your taking but I fly out of Newark for $1100 Well, my flight was a month before i booked it, so that might have something to do with it i guess. Of course if I go again, I will give it a few months advance next time. How long was your flight? Mine was over 22 hours long...not something I look forward to repeating again...

I have only been to China once, this past April 08 and I was wondering if it might be an issue with the VO when the interveiw comes. It costs a lot of money to fly there from Boston, 1,500 dollars plus expenses and hotel. I don't see how the VO could expect a person to fly there more than 3 times without spending at least 5,000 dollars. I know asking what the VO will say is a crapshoot, but will it be a huge problem? Pats fan here, Buffalo fans need to realize the season is over with. Honestly, J.P Losman is your new QB now?? I liked the Bills in the first 5 games, but after that it became obvious that there is no depth on that team at all. I like the defense but when 3 or 4 guys go down the whole team stinks...Please dont say they are going to the super bowl when they cant even beat anyone in their own division. And yes I am slightly biased being a pats fan but we have over seven guys down and we are 8 and 5. and we beat everyoen in our divsion. Realize the nightmare and stop dreaming!

Thanks for the info! What is the number for the DOS call center? Will they not get mad if I call to ask such little questions? The NVC adds a reference number to each package they send. The NVC told WenDylan his package was mailed on Nov 6th, so the reference number looks like this... EXP 06 NOV 2008B EXP = Expedite 06 = day (always 2 numbers) NOV = month (always 3 letters) 2008B = year (always add a "B" at the end for packages to China) Go to the DHL website and click on "Track => Track by Reference" DHL Track by Reference Enter the reference number, click on "Track" and you will see the tracking number at the top and the delivery information. The package will typically sit in customs for a month or more. After a while, the USA DHL website will stop showing accurate information. So, use the tracking number and the China DHL website I posted above instead of the USA website.
