  1. I do have some bad news for you, get use to that replay from the Guangzhou. They gave me the same email every month for 9 months. Then one day, I did get the good news. Just hang in there because the good news will come your way. I do know your pain. Just keep sending your emails to them every month to "remind" them you are still waiting. You are right, the main practice in Guangzhou is to "hurry up and wait". You are not over reacting because the long wait they took me through really suck but my lao po and I made it through and so can you. Good luck and hang in there.
  2. I can not believe what just happen. My beautiful lao po has pass the interview and received her visa. After one year and nine months of getting married, we will finally be together forever. I am still in shock over this because I was preparing for the worst. I do want to thank everyone who has posted information and their interview experience on CFL. This has help us so much. So it is only fitting that I post my lao po's experience to help those of you who are still waiting for their interview. These are her words, " Oh my love , let me share the interview adventure with you . last night , i and my father were hard to sleep , this early morning , we get up so early , my father was so thoughtful , he made the instant noodles for me for breakfast ,It made me so stuffed ;-) it was 7.30 AM . We went for consult office , when we get there , there were so many people waiting for there . it was 9.o'clock , we can get into the consult office , but my poor father had to wait for me outside in the cold :-) we first sent our documents then give them my finger print , and we sweared all we would said is true . , and they give me a number "64" , it was 11.20 , i heard "number 64 please come to window 10 " , oh , it was me for interview ! Honest to you ,i did not feel any nervous , the people around me shake hands with me and wish i get white slip quickly .Oh my love, when i see the visa officer ,i did know i will get the visa , because he look so nice :-) he is a white man , tall and a little fat .I first wanted to send him my documents lists , he said no , he didn't need to see that . Then he asked me questions , question 1 , who is your petitioner ? Me : my husband Timothy James Frasche . Question 2 , how did you meet ? Me. we meet on internet . Questions 3 , which web site ? me : friend-finder .He said , Asian Friend-finder ? me: no, just Friend-Finder . Question 4 how many times did he come to see you ? Me: twice . Me: he work in Apple computers , his job is computer technician . Question 7, if you get married before ?Me: never , this is my first marriage and my husband is too . then , they ask me to see 134 form , when he said he need see tax return, I did not understand , he speak this with me in Chinese , it surprise me ! :-) at last , he said he need see the pictures , i gave him the pictures that we taken when you second visit me , we and my family and friends and co works , and i told him it was taken in Chinese national day and you are so handsome man :-) he smiled to me , you and my family and co works and friends in chongqing . ok, after see the pictures ,i can see take out of white slip and give me and told me you need come back 4 o'clock tomorrow , then i can feel my smile was so big then :-) when i get the while slip ,i still said "your chinese is so good " he said "no no no" it made me giggle so much , we said bye bye , then i left consult office ,i smiled so much , and so many people can see the success on my face and congratulations to me !" To be honest with everyone, I do feel cheated some how. We have look and prepared every possible pieces of paper work to "prove" our relationship. This drove as so crazy to get all of this ready. She had to carry all of this "proof" and they did not look at it all. <sigh> I guess too much paper work is better then too little paper work. I should not complain because at the end of the day, she has her visa and in six days, she will be in my arms. That is all that matters to me now. Good luck to everyone who is waiting right now. I do hope that your interview goes as easy as my beautiful lao po's did. Thank you again, for all of your hard work to post your interview adventures.
  3. Here is my two cents, Before thinking about getting an attorney, before filling out any paper work, visit the following web address http://www.hervisa.com/ They have been helping people with their visa for 20 years now. They are not attorneys. They were invited to the Better Business Bureau. There are not that many business that are invited. They do not give you any promises that their service is faster then an attorney but they can promise you that your paper work is correct so this it can go through the whole process without any delays. It is worth a look.
  4. Hey Will, Check out the follow web site to help you with your questions about the K3 or K4 visa http://www.hervisa.com I have been using their service to help me with our K3 visa. They have been in the business for 20 years. They know where and when to cross the "t's" and the "i's" to get your visa through the first time. I do hope this web site helps you out. Good luck with your visa.
  5. Maybe because my wife finally received her packet 4 and interview date last week. We have only been waiting since April 2004 for packet 4. The last time that I talk to DOS in late November, they told me that December interview dates were full and they were starting to fill in January. So anything is possible at this point in time since no one here in the US or in China can tell us what is going on. Good luck on your visa. :-)
  6. This is the first post that I have responded on this web site. I beg you to hang in there! If your relationship is true and sincere then wait a few month is NOTHING compare to the of having your wife/husband with you for the rest of your life. I am teased daily at work that waiting this long is training for the wait for our first baby. Are you kidding? Waiting for nine months is nothing! It is a drop in the bucket comparison to the long wait the US government runs us through. Remember, there is always hope. Let me enlighten every one on my story. I meet Xue mei over the internet through a dating service in August 2002. We started our relationship through emails then through the phone. We belong to the generation that uses the internet to start our life. We fell in love. This is something that was new to us. You know that feeling of being sacred yet excited at the same time? We were in were total in love with each other and we wanted to spend the rest of our life together. At this point in our story, we still have not meet each other. We were able to be the best of friends and trust each other so much. We proposed to each other over the internet in March of 2003. This just happen to us so naturally. After doing some research, we found that it did not matter if we married in the US or in China. It was very frustrating to prove to the Chinese government that you are signal but the paper work was sign and seal. In April 2003, I flew to her. I have never flown outside of the US. I did not know any Chinese. I could not read any Chinese. Also, it was in the middle of SARS too, yet I still went. We had a wonderful time together. Sure we were just a little nervous at first but it really felt like meeting an old best friend. I meet her family right after we got married in Chendu, China. Her family supported her decision and excepted me with open arms. My family support me as well. I had to do the hardest thing in my life at the time was to leave my wife behind. In July 2003, I sign up with a visa service to help out with all of the paper work for the K3 visa. Xue Mei's job found out that she would be leaving soon because she was married. So they let her go. I t step in to support her while she waited for news about our case. The visa service was wonderful at keeping us inform on what was going with our case and the numbers at the DOS and the NVC to call too. The I-129 was approved in November of 2003. Her name went through all the name checks. I am sure you are all aware just how long these name checks can be. She received packet 3 in March, 2004, fill it out then sent it back in. Then our case went through another name check. Our one year wedding anniversary came and went. The I-130 was approved in November, 2004. She was still in a name check. After a year and a half of not able to see her, I flew back to China to spend some more time with her. We had another wonderful visit. It really felt like there was no time in-between our last visit. So magical! After coming back home, there was still no word and that consulate office could say anything but "wait". The visa service believe, because of the unusual long wait time, that she may be in a re-check process. The consulate office and DOS did not say or could say if she was in a re-check process. Finally, December, 2004 she received her packet 4 and the interview date for January, 2005. The wait is almost over for us and we are both so excited! To be completely honest with everyone here, the wait has given us the best test for our relationship. It has make us closer to each other's heart. This was our first test as a couple. We have had no regrets and we would go through this long wait all over again just for each other. Please hang in there. Love is worth the wait and this is just apart of the test that life has for us all. If you can make it through this wait, then you will be a better couple in your life together because you learn to be strong and support each other when the other is feeling down. I do wish everyone the best of luck with their relationship and the long wait. It is truly worth it my friends. Thank you taking the time to listen to my story. :-)
