jtaylo69
Ok all, this just in from my email box. As of 9:30am EST, I haver recieved numerous replies from almost every senetor's offices, & from 8 TV Stations from accross the USA. They all had one major simularities. Each one, (especially the Senators, Govonors) if we really want for Congress to stand up & take note of our situation, then each & every one of us in whom it is, has or will affect, we all need to basicly send the same thing to our very own Goverment Official from our respected state that we live in. But do not just send it to one. To get your letter noticed, (Better chances) You would have a greater chance by submitting the letter to your Governor, Senator, & Congessman. The reason for this is because they all have that one chain of command, and each one has to stay in touch with the other in order to get the best all around. So, here is a copy of what I had sent to them earlier. You may want to add to it of your own experiances, or what ever. But as Congesman Burgess had said to me, "Please be sure that ALL OF OUR correspondace needs to be basicly the same & on the Same Issue". I will be including a link to where you may find your Senators Email addresses so as to make it a little easier for you. But what ever you do, DO NOT JUST SIT THERE THINKING SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT FOR YOU!!! TO MAKE THIS THING ISSUE TO GET NOTICED, EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US MUST STEP UP & SEND THE SAME MESSAGE TO FIND YOUR SENETOR click this linkhttp://www.senate.gov/index.htm THE HOUSE OF REPRESENATIVE click this linkhttp://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW.shtml & http://www.house.gov/writerep/ & If that isn't enough for you, WHY NOT GO STRAIGHT TO THE TOP CHAIR HIMSELF ^ The President's personal email President George W. Bush: president@whitehouse.gov Vice President Richard Cheney: vice.president@whitehouse.gov TO LOCATE EVERY TV & RADIO STATION'S EMAIL ADDRESS <within the continental USA> Click here http://www.globalcomputing.com/TVContent.htm TO LOCATE EVREY NEWSPAPER'S EMAIL ADDRESS > click here http://www.globalcomputing.com/NewsContent.htm & <here> http://www.refdesk.com/paper.html#natnews NOW, THE LETTER'S Dear Sirs I've always admired your relentless search for truthin governmental issues. . With that in mind I wish tocall your attention to the deplorable AmericanConsulate in Guangzhou China, and reference thearrogant bordering on hostile attitude they oftensubject Americans to when they try to immigrate theirlegitimate fiancées through the l fiancee visaprocess. These are honest sincere Americans who are inbona fide relationships, and have met all requirementsposted on USCIS and other official immigration relatedwebsites. This consulate has one of the worstreputations in the world. This consulate often doesnot follow its own guidelines, such as notifyingpetitioners of actions in a timely fashion. They areexcessively clandestine, usually communicating withpetitioners only through e-mail or a pay per callinformation bank established in China. Most domestictelephone information(here and at the consulateitself) is accessed through the telephone menu systemsthat rarely, if never) give any useful information. It's all endless delays. A process that is supposed totake 8 or 9 months can easily turn into a 14 month to18 month nightmare fraught with multiple variations inpolicy practice. It seems this government body failsto comply with its own rules, as if they aredeliberately trying to make the idea of fianceeimmigration uninviting and difficult as possible...anattitude that is contradiction to Americas “ open doorpolicy".. Even after completing all name and security checks, and the after a final “successful” interview, thisconsulate has the gall to tell fiancees they areapproved for their visa , only to turn them down thevery next day when the fiancee returns to pick up itup!!..You can imagine how devastating , humiliating, and unjust this is…. its just plain wrong!! . There are many other horror stories to be sharedregarding this consulate, and there are multitudes ofhonest, law-abiding, compliant Americans and theirfiancees getting treated like second class citizens bytheir own government. If you wish for in an in depth understanding, Isuggest you visit www.candleforlove.com...an on-linecommunity of Americans going through theaforementioned process. Log on and ask any questionyou like…You will receive plenty of info from peopleat different stages of the process. Covering the topic of fiancée visas now would betimely, appropriate, and put the spotlight squarely onthe absolute “trainwreck” that is the Americanconsulate in Guangzhou, Guangdong China. I understand things are stricter since 9-11, but thein the broadest sense, government is utilizing thatunfortunate event as a blanket excuse for all theirinconsistency, indifference, delays, and incompetence.Americans attempting to accomplish immigration ofloved ones legally deserve better treatment and moreanswers.... Real threats to our national securitycontinue to filter through our borders with relativeease, while consulates like the one in Guangzhouroutinely "terrorize" innocent couples with needlessred tape ..As a proud American I salute our flagrather than use it as a blanket to cover all myshortcomings.....Guangzhou must eventually come cleanand deal with honest petitioners and beneficiaries ina more dignified and respectful manner. Contact me at my e-mail if you find the aforementionedtopic worthwhile for your show…I would certainlyappreciate any opportunity to speak with youpersonally. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below is a copy of an email that was sent to theperson who's responcibility is to see that we get fairtreatment in this case. As of today, we have yet tohear even a thank you. Therefore, I, on behalf of ourOnline Community Group, we are comming to you andbegging for your help. Sincearly, The Candle For Love Online Community Dear Ms. Harty: We are writing to you as members of “Candle For Love”a growing online community of nearly 2,000 lawabiding, taxpaying U.S. Citizens. We are joinedtogether by the common bond of a lengthy andunpredictable wait to receive immigrant visas for ourspouses, fiancé(e)s and children. The purpose of thisletter is to address a few of the current immigrantvisa processing issues at the American Consulate inGuangzhou. These issues have caused, what we feel areunnecessary hardships for our loved ones and us. Weask that you take a moment to read our honest andconcise assessment of the current situation and ofsome problems that exist. We ask that you considerpossible solutions. 1) Wait Times for K1 & K3 Visas:The wait time for the K-1 Fiancé(e) visa and K3 Spousevisa, being processed at the U.S. consulate inGuangzhou, is the longest in the world. Our memberswait an average of 13-months without a good reason oran understanding as to why it takes so long. We woulddeeply appreciate your help in investigating, why thisparticular consulate has such long delays. Perhaps youcan better help us to understand this situation, especially when considering K type visas processed inmost U.S. consulates around the world are completedsignificantly faster than those processed at the U.S.consulate in Guangzhou. China has the world’s largest population. Isn’t ittime that a country of this size and importance hasmore than one consulate to handle immigrant visas? There are countries of smaller populations and lessimmigrant demand, which utilize multiple U.S.consulates for this purpose. Recently, some of our members have had the pleasure ofhearing you speak in Beijing about the improvements inhandling student and business visas from China.Typically, over 180,000 student visas per year areprocessed and issued in a matter of days or weeks. Weare sure that you would consider the petitions of U.S.citizens for their loved ones, to be at least of equalpriority as those from Chinese citizens. 2) Denials without appeal:In our opinion, many of our member’s spouses andfiancé(e)s are being denied visas for no apparentreason. After the denial, the U.S. citizen is notpermitted an opportunity to consult with a member ofthe IV Unit to help resolve the issues related to thedenials. The specific reason for the denial is oftenunstated and unknown. Your help in resolving thiscommunication deficit would be greatly appreciated. 3) White Slips changed to Blue Slips:There are a growing number of cases where whiteacceptance slips are being given to the wife orfiancé(e) of a U.S. Citizen upon completion of theinterview. When they return the next day to pick uptheir visa, they instead receive a blue rejection slipand no visa. This is done without explanation orconsultation. This is very confusing to all of us inthe “Candle For Love” online visa community. We wouldlike to give our support to your visa officers. Thisbecomes increasingly difficult however, when theyoverrule themselves with no apparent or stated reason. In our opinion, this reflects negatively on theconsulate staff. Again these cases directly affect thelives and futures of US Citizens and their loved ones. The above listed items are simply a few of the issueswe wish to bring to your attention at this time. We ask for no special treatment. We ask only for thesame and equal consideration, care and service, thatanyone requesting a visa in China would and shouldexpect. As the U.S. consulate in China is consideredto be U.S. soil, we ask that everyone who enters betreated with the basic human rights of dignity, respect, and non-discrimination that is fundamental toour way of life. We appreciate you taking time out of your busyschedule to read about our concerns. Collectively, ourmembers have a wealth of information about the familyvisa process and how it interfaces with the U.S.consulate at Guangzhou. If there is anything that wecan do to assist you in your monumental task, pleasefeel free to contact us at any time. Respectfully,The Members of “Candle For Love.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE!!! EVERYONE!! I BEG OF YOU, IF EACH ONE OF US WILL DO OUR INDIVIDUAL PLEA TO AT LEAST 4 OF EACH OF THE 6 CATAGORIES LISTED ABOVE (congress, govornors, tv, newspaper, radio, AND THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF, THERE WILL BE NO REASON IN THE WORLD FOR OUR VOICE NOT TO BE HEARD I know this is getting attention as my email boxes are beginning to fill up, so you can just imagine what kind of attention our case will get if we all do our small part --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just so that we can keep track of what is being done, if you would, please leave your information as to who, what, where & when that you contacted. This way we will have a record to show, (Should we get called before the house of Senate) just how important this issue is. Thanks JT Link to comment

jtaylo69
For some Odd reason, it seems there has been a duplicate of the orriginal posting, Let Our Voices be Heard As for all of the different Visas, I am trying to to this as a whole and not trying to single any one in paticular out. I feel that if we do the entire process as a whole, we would have a far better chance at getting the entire thing a whole new second look as a process. As for the responces, I am getting Great responces. To see, just click on the link above or see the Duplicate post, as it appears that it is getting far more responces. Thanks for everyone beginning to take a stand. Together, we CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Link to comment
