Now I'm in the Oh Sh**! mode.  

 

I didn't know the tax info had to be official.  I thought it was enough to take copies of what you have and fill in the numbers on a form.  I leave for GZ early Sunday.  Any suggestions?

All I ever did/used for the I-864 was copies of my 2-page 1040 and copies of the w-2's. Of course, 3 years worth. I have filed the I-864 three times and haven't had a problem.

...these copies are only formalities and don't really have any weight. You already given NVC permisssion to access your IRS records when you signed and sent that form back to them.

The real 'locking key' to the I-864 is your "John Hancock" signed and witnessed on the form.

If I read your timeline right Mark you are going to GZ as a K-3/ I-134???

Oohhh!...that's right. I knew Mark was K-3 but I was thinking of Thomas's topic on the I-864.

Well, in that case,,,the little 'ole I-134?......... ,,,pleze,,don't make me laugh!

Technically, a K-3 doesn't even need the I-134 but it is advised to bring one all the same.

And technically, the tax evidence isn't even needed except if you are self-employed. Says so in the instructions but it's been the consenses to include the latest year with the I-134. No problem!....

 

Nope, the I-134 isn't any trouble. It is its 'big brother', the I-864 that is the "one true" form!........

Mark, Why worry,? Just tell the embassy that your wife ate her visa. Bloated tummys are always a sure symptoms of dirty toilet seats and under cooked visa's.
