Easy CR1 question for those ahead of me.

PAL-Procrastinators Anamous Leader.

Being the procratinator that I am (slacking on the 864), I need to know if I'm thinking correctly. Knowing (I guess) that the P3 package consists of the 864 and the 230, I can afford to slack on the 864 without feeling guilty about. I can send them both in seperately but, since my 230 is a month behind my 864 would it be better to mail them in together as a real package. I'm expecting the 230 any day (...or week, or even month) now. Then I just thought to myself this morning..."what if they are waiting for me to send them the 864 1st?"

 

I have the 864 "almost ready" to "put it in the mail tommorrow."

I'll complain up and down about how slow the gov is, but never mind me. I just feel happier when I have something to bitch about. Nothing to bitch about? I'll find something.

 

I already know I'll take a lashing from some of you, but aside from the obvious that I already stated, I have some questions.

1. Are they waitng for the 864 from me, before they send the 230? They didn't say they were.

2. Is there any advantage in mailing the forms together as a package?

3. Does the 864 take longer to process than the 230 does or vise versa?

4. How low should I hang my head? Just a little or a lot?

5. Squeaky got his 230 before the 864, same process, but the order is a little different. What's up with that?

For questions 1-3, and 5, call NVC at their NON toll-free number and hear it first hand. I hope that their menu(s) aren't as mind-boggling as CIS's.

If you aren't satisfied with the answers you get then wait a few minutes and call them back. You will get a different rep to compare your answers to the first rep. You may even go for 3 or 4 times!

 

For question #4, I have no suggestion or answer for. You're on your own!.............

I can tell you that I was waiting for an additional document to come back from my wife to send with the DS-230 and I got a letter saying my paperwork was incomplete

Yup, That would be the 3032. They say that specifically. Without this from you, you don't get this from us. I will be getting the 230 probably next week sometime. I'll be ready.

I don't think that would be DS-3032, DS-3032 is a form indication to which agent a P3(DS-230) will be sent, since he already got DS-230, that means he already disignated an agent who is the receiptor of the DS-230----that means his beneficiary has already got and filled and sent out a DS-3032 otherwise he can not get a DS-230 cause NVC will be waiting for the instruction to which party a DS-3032 will be sent. Am I right?

I got my 864 and returned it before I got the DS230. I also listed myself as her agent, and so everything comes to me first.

 

Dont hang your head... might get a kink in it.. then you will be hurting when you lift it up to finish the form.. thus giving you more reasons to procrastinate and the cycle will continue..

 

Just go into your room and give yourself 10 lashes with a wet noodle...

Finally able to get ahold of NVC again, and they told me to go ahead and send in the money for the DS-230, to St Louis. Somtime in the near future I will get the bill for the I-864, then when I pay that one, they will send me the I-864. By that time I will already have it filled out. If I remember correctly, they will also be sending along another G-325 with that one. In the meantime, while I am waiting for the I-864, they will be holding up everything until they get the I-864 back from me.

 

Sure makes sense to me right now
