elcajongr
The following, copied from 001.com, was emailed to me Monday, 12-13-04 **************************************Hi, everyone I am sorry I can't type in chinese now. I have to useEnglish in this cafe! I just passed my interview today. The whole interviewlasted less than sixty seconds. I was asked just threequestions. 1. How did you meet your fiance? 2. How many times has he come to visit you? 3. What is your fiance's job? Then she asked for the I-134, and then looked at someof the photos that I brought. She then wrote somethingonto her I-156, told me to come back at 4pm tomorrowto pick up my passport, and gave me the white slip. My VO was a young, white woman, who smiled all thetime. I bet she is the nicest VO in consulate!!!Tony's mom's angel really gave me GOOD LUCK!!! Tips: 1. Try to get to the consulate early! If not you mighthave to stand there all the time while you are waitingfor your interview! 2. You should show your fiance's passport when the voasks your passport!!!(if you have your fiance'spassport at that time.) 3. Keep your big smile to VO!!! Don't be nervous, theinterview is pretty easy actually!!! I entered the consulate around 7am, but actually theystarted interview around 10am. I was the No.6 or 7person to get call for the interview. Okay, guys, I am going to celebrate with my Tony now.Hope everyone has a GOOD LUCK for your interview!!! We have two big bottles champaign waiting for ustonight!!! Link to comment

elcajongr
I'm very sorry. I should have made myself more clear. This is not our interview, which will not be due for another three or four months. This was someone else's experience at 001.com . I thought the tips might be worthwhile.Sorry again for not making myself more clear.************************************* I also received these dates from 001 without an explantion which are very puzzling:========================a wanmen dates she is very luck p1 2004-9.20 p2 10.4£¨9.28£© p3 11.10(11.15 retured£© p4 12.11 (got)interview date 2005-1-25 Link to comment

I was really excited there at the possibility. ------------- Do not worry though, I have a feeling that September dates will get interviewed in February, not in March or April, if all continues as we have seen these past 2 weeks. -------------- And that timeline, it just proves to me how much the people at GZ like to F^@%ING PULL OUR CHAINS! See, that is how fast it is, on average, over most of the rest of the world. Let me guess, she must be rich! How long do you think Yao Ming had to wait to get his greencard? Do you think he was waiting in the queue 5-10months or more, like the rest of us? So unfair. It is BS like this that makes me want to scream. I am happy for them, but if they can do it, then they can for the *rest* of us too... ****GRRRR****** Link to comment

As far as these other dates it is either someone just making it up or someone that has an in with DOS, that's the whole trip in 5 months, man wouldn't that be sweet.................... It seemed to me that all of the January interviews might be to makeup for the reduced number of interviews in February. For me, I think February would be the very worst month for an interview. Do any of the older members have any thoughts about the February interview prospects? Link to comment
cosmiclobster
Someone (sorry, don't remember who, maybe they'll chime in) said that the consulate would not be taking the usual 2 week new year vacation this year.I believe they were told this in one of the Thursday Q and A sessions. With my Sept 11 P3 date, I might be in China for another New Years celebration! Go Consulate!!!!! Link to comment

My father had *no fun* on the trip, with him being held up in Narita for a long time (it seems they wanted to search every white and Chinese person's bags very thoroughly). From that point on, we have decided to boycott Narita. Link to comment
