June 16th to Jan 19th is seven months. This is one of the longest wait times from P3 to interview date that I've seen. Did you delay the return of your P3? Most of those currently receiving P4s returned their P3 in July. Do you recall when you "returned" your P3?

We are K1. My I-129 petition was sent to NVC on 06/25/04. They processed it, and when they finished they sent it to Guangzhou on 07/16/04. Exactly what they do at NVC, I am not certain. I think they review it, and make sure that you have all the correct paperwork. I think they may also do a background check. It also depends on what kind of Visa you are seeking.
