where to stay in GZ?

I will fly in GZ on Dec 5 for my fiancee's interview on Dec 9.

I would appreciate it much if u could recommend me a hotel to stay.

My preferences are clean, taking US credit cards and having ac/heater.

Hmm, we ended up at the Victory Hotel after staying at a cheaper place the first 2 nights. I have to say it's a nice place-- you'll never see so many chinese babies (this is where a lot of adopting parents stay). It a short walk from the embassy, nice area.

If you can get on their web site and join, which is free, the victory hotel is great

I know of a couple of holes in the wall for about $10 a night. Oh, wait, you said clean, not cheap.

Victory Hotel is very nice. It is close to Embassy. Reasonable prices.

I stayed at the White Swan Hotel (4 stars) for my wifes interview just last week. The consulate is about 2 min walk from the hotel. It cost me 600 RMB per night but I think the price is decent for it's location and service level.
