My lawyer has told me yes. And not the one from the department of records, but the one registered where you were divorced that has the judge's name, conditions, etc

On this topic, I feel now I need to ask. When my girl brings the mountain of evidence to the interview, will they keep all of it or return the personal items? Should I bring my original divorce settlement or get a duplicate from the court?

Looks like your K-1 so No they do not keep anything at least from our interview experience.. They may look at it but will return.. They do keep the brown evelope however(take it at arrival port) that is mostly your SO's medical stuff.. My LaPao had all to do to show pictures,, they were not interrested and I got everything back..tax transcripts/birth certs etc etc.

Take both to the interview. The divorce certificate from your state's vital records department and the divorce decree which you can obtain from the county or city clerk of circuit court in which the marriage was registered.
