Adopting our niece

Is it possible to adopt our niece? She is six years old. She lives in Chengdu. Our niece has a father and mother in China. It seems like maybe she would have to be an orphan?  We would like to get our niece here to live with us in Tennessee. My wife and I are United States citizens. My wife is from Sichuan Province. I’m from Tennessee. Thank you

We looked into this years ago. In short, it's very difficult, expensive, and time-consuming, and theoretically not even possible. Your best bet would be speaking to an attorney that specializes in international adoption.
