A/C Remote

For anyone who doesn't know, the A/C units in China are almost always heat pumps - push the 'Mode' button on the A/C remote until the Sun symbol for heat shows up.

The cooling or heating effect is usually throttled. That is, it diminishes as it approaches the setpoint. For example, if you want 24°C, you may have to first set it to 23 or 22 cooling, or 25 or 26 heating, to get the desired comfort level.

Dehumidify will usually blow colder air (to remove humidity), but less off it, to generate the same (hopefully) cooling effect.

The temperature sensor is in the air intake on the blower unit. This placement has a definite effect on when it cuts in and out, especially in the heat mode.

GAWD I hates these remotes..... Every hotel room had them and I would always screw some setting up and had to get my wife to fix it.
