Did my documents make it to Guangzhou?

Hi everyone again,

 

So I sent my documents to Guangzhou through a Citic bank about three weeks ago. How long does it take after the ds260 and documents are recieved for Guangzhou to send an email to schedule an interview? I'm alittle worried these documents were lost on the way to Guangzhou.

See if you can't go ahead and schedule an interview anyway (through ustraveldocs.com).

 

You can also contact either the consulate through their "email form" web page, or ustraveldocs through their "contact us" methods.

 

The consulate is notoriously uncommunicative.

I sent two emails, got the same email back both times about they haven't received the paperwork yet and would send an email to schedule the interview when they did. Also, been trying everyday to schedule the interview but shows that my wifes GUZ case number cannot be found once I get to step eight to schedule the appointment.

I'm hoping to hear something soon as I have returned to America early to start a job and my wife and eight month old are stuck in China.

Sad to hear that you are stuck in that loop. Hopefully, they get off (whoever's) duff and take care of it.

Update***So I finally got the email to schedule the interview. So, if anyone is reading this, yes, it can take several weeks after you have completed the DS260 and sent the documents to get the email. Only after you get the email will you be able to schedule an interview.
