laowhy86
Our case is at Guangzhou. She has passed the interview. However, the status was "Issued" but then I was contacted to send a document that was mistranslated (her mothers name from Chinese into PinYin). We got the correct document, and sent it via Citic bank 3 days ago. CGIFederal has changed from "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate" to now showing "Document Delivery Information:" but no location, just blank. Does this mean it's in processing, on the way, or has arrived? Any ideas how long? Link to comment
Randy W
All is cool ! Glad you could come by. You might contact them via their (the consulate's) email web page to see if they're ready for you to send in her passport. You and Winston (and Vivi) have a topic here - http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/48071-serpentza-my-china-life/?hl=serpentza I hope you can come by more often Link to comment

Randy W
Update: It has no updated to "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate" again. What can I assume? That you'll get it back with a visa in it! May take a week or two or three. I still can't believe they keep passports for longer than overnuight. Link to comment

Randy W
Yes - probably a week or two. but the thing is - you never know. They are notoriously non-communicative during this period. Link to comment

They are notoriously non-communicative during this period. Thanks for the feedback, Randy! The visa is "Issued" and I emailed them at the passport tracking email and I received a reply that says:"The current status of your passport is Delivered To Post."This apparently means that it is in fact at the Guangzhou embassy waiting to be sent. I hope it doesn't take as long as everyone is saying. Thanks so much! Link to comment

dnoblett
Thanks! Did you do yours at the Guangzhou embassy? They have been quick about everything prior, so I certainly hope it doesn't take that long! Congrats on getting the notification they are done with administrative processing. Note, the only consulate in China that handles immigrant visas is the one in Guangzhou, so we all have dealt with Guangzhou. As for Embassy, there is only one American ambassador in China, ambassadors are stationed in the capital city of a nation thus the Embassy is located in Beijing, all other locations are considered consulates. 1 Link to comment
