Their ancestors moved here from Jiangxi province during Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) in late 1500s. All the villagers share a common surname of Peng. There are crystal creaks in front of the village and green mountains behind, which is considered a perfect location according to the philosophy of Fengshui. Moreover, there are ancient stone arch bridges, huge maples, sunk holes and karst caves around.
