hyli
I applied immigration visa for my parents, now the case is at NVC. I have submitted civil documents to NVC electronically. Now just found out my parents’ original birth notarial certificate and marriage notarial certificate were lost. They are over 70 and do not have birth certificate. Probably they can get another, but the new one will not match the copies at NVC , each notarial has unique number on it. Now I feel hopeless and do not know what to do. If anyone could provide any kind help or experience, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you advance! Link to comment
dnoblett
Have parents get another set from the notary office, even with the change in serial number on the forms they will be valid, and should not be questioned. They can understand situations where a person may have several certified copies and perhaps the ones scanned are a different set than what are brought to the interview. If questioned simply tell them that the ones scanned somehow were misplaced so had to get a new set. Link to comment
