Down on US 19, about 50 miles or so north of St. Pete, there is a tourist attraction called (Weeki Wachi Springs). Not sure if it is still there. It features live mermaids doing an underwater show. The ladies had great costumes. I remember my Dad used to make me sit between he and my Mom so she could not elbow him in the ribs.
