Fu Lai
I need about 120kg of smaller boxes (personal effects) shipped from New Zealand to me in Wuhan. Unfortunately the boxes are at a place that will not help at all so I have to have the boxes picked up from the place. No box dimensions are known, just the general weight. I chatted with the company listed in the pinned thread here and they guesstimated Y11400 (OMG) for the service. Any other ideas? I have to get some quotes so I can decide whether using a delivery company or flying there and retrieving them on a plane is the best idea. Randy W
We shipped boxes from the US at around $2 per pound, so you're probably in the ballpark there.
Fu Lai
Are there any other companies to get quotes from that could do the job? I'm dreading flying to NZ to repacking the boxes and weeding out the non-essentials (since I weeded out them twice now in the last year!).
Fu Lai
I'm not finding any better deals, argh! I wonder how all the Chinese moving to NZ do it?

Randy W
If you have enough stuff and can wait a few weeks, look into container shipping. You will (probably) need an agent to help you pull it through customs (I was told no electronics and some other restrictions), but your work permit will allow you to one shipment of used household goods
