Well we made it to Nanchang

What dose 5 hours of sleep in 2 days get you? A adventure in China is what.... After a long trip 1. drive to LA from Phoenix 2. Fly from LA to Vancouver Canada. 3. Fly from Vancouver to Shanghi 4. Subway from Shanghi Pudong airport to Shanghi Hongchow airport. Fly from Shanghi to Nanchang.

 

Man I'm not as tired as i would have expected this morning. We went to bed around 1:30am after going out for street BBQ last night. WOke up about 6:30am and we are up for the day. I never can seem to sleep more then 5 hours anymore even after such a long trip.

Oh Highlight of being in Nanchang so far is when we walked in to the hotel room seeing all of the cards poked under the door for all of the "massage therapists" that will come help you relax.... I swiped em all up and told Hui I'm gonna collect the whole set...... Im missing the rookie card for the tiny Hin.... Uhhh oh wife is comming gotta go..

I've got the card of the lil' darlin' with her ankles pulled back by her ears, but I ain't tradin' it.

 

The best thing for that travelin' and lack of sleep is a deep colonic cleansin'. May I suggest the strongest coffee you can find, or better yet raw green tea to fill the... er... ah douche bag with.

 

Happy trails...or should I say happy tails. When I go to Chinertucky my neck gets out of alignment from butt watchin'. Heck, I usually walk about 15 feet behind the lil' rabbit so I can see every bump and grind of that lil' be-hind. I swear I hear some of that old 70's porn music when she is walkin. well lets see what happened today.....

 

Well we started out the day going to her house to pickup her family book so we could go down to the Passport office and she could get her name changed to her married name. We also went and ate breakfast at a tiny 2 table place in the alley near her home. Food was good, we had a bowl of noodles and bowl of minced pork pattie and egg soup (Hui makes this all the time at home.) (restraunts tasted a bit better but dont tell Hui... ) The bill for breakfast was a whopping 8.5 rmb total for both of us.

 

then we went down to the passport office and she took care of what we needed to do. took about 45 minutes I played games on my phone while i waited.

 

Oh another thing I paid extra money to Verizin to have data access on my phone here but it dose not work. I can send a text but will not recieve any and i have never been able to get internet access.... So much for "global access"

 

 

We had dinner at her godmothers house......God I HATE stairs...... 6 floors up! my fat ass was not liking it.

 

Ok well back to bed it's 5:30 am and i want to try to sleeop alittle more before i get drug to the Chinese dentist...

 

Anyone ever get a root canel in China? Im thining I should wait and go to Mexico when I get back. Wonder how much dentist are in china? In Mw=exico it would cost me about 250-300usd.

Yore goin' to a dang dentist???? Why? I need me a root canal I jes reach in my tool bag and git a pair of Channel Locks to pop that pain causin' toof out.

 

Now that I'm down to one toof these dayz, I must admit, I ain't ever had me no Chinertuckian dental torturer ever touch it. When in ocuntry over yonder I have me a rubber mallet I pop myself in the hed with should I feel pain in the toof area. Works ever damn time I tells ya. Knock yerself out, oncet you wake up you have a hed ache instead of a toof ache.

 

If'n yawl gonna travel around the world with the big dawgs you needs to study up on emergency procedures. And stop eatin' that dadgum pizza over yonder, it makes the staircases too hard to negotiate.

about 5 years ago, my friend went to china for the first time and he also had your verizon global access. 2 months later, his bill for global access and data useage was 8 thousands usd. global access and data useage are 2 different things but maybe today is different from 5 years ago.

8000 bill from the carrier, that's insane. First trip to China I was a newbie about these things, used my ATT calling card to call home twice, and to make two call to a bank to report the loss of a debit card. I believe it cost me like $20 to make each call, and then insane $ per min during the call. Future trips had me using Skype to make calls home.

 

If were me I would simply leave the phone home and borrow one from Sister-In-Law for local calls. And restrict internet access to the business center of hotels, or from family homes.
