24 month multiple entry tourist visa

Recommended Posts

The visa service I used called me on the phone and told me this. I applied for a 1 year because I did not see the 2 year on their website. I did mention in the application that I wanted the 2 year if I could get it and this prompted them to call me. They told me I would need to send in the marriage certificate, and a copy of her passport along with $99.00. I couldn't do this as it was last minute stuff and I wouldn't have had time.

Good luck to ya buddy!! How long will y'all get to stay?

Will be trying for 3 weeks but that is only if my boss lets me take all 3 weeks of vacation at one time.

Well folks, I'm going out on a limb here.

I just sent in my visa papers today.

I will be trying for the 24 month multiple entry tourist visa with 180 days stay of duration.

Oasischinavisa will receive the papers this Friday.

I should know if there are any problem sometime next week.

Then again no news is good news, We'll see.

I'll post back latter with the outcome.

If you (or anyone else with a Chinese relative) need (or want) a LONGER to indefinite stay - check with the local PSB AFTER you arrive in China. THIS L-visa or resident permit would allow you to stay indefinitely, but would need to be renewed (at the PSB) every year.

Good to hear about the 24 mo visa, document what you sent the consulate to convince them to give you it, due to others indicating not being able to get one of that duration.

As for the second thoughts on traveling, same here, my wife and I are in the tighten the budget mode, I can see change in a year or so.

Like Dan asked.

Like you all know by now, I applied with Oasischinavisa. (Thanks Dan, Great company and Great service)

Per Oasis web site for this type of visa you will need.

For people who want to request for the 24 month multiple entry tourist visa with 180 days stay of duration, you must be qualified with one of the followings:
  • If you were born in China; including mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
  • If you are under 18 years old, your parent(s) are still holding valid Chinese passport, and residing in the U.S with a valid U.S green card.
  • If you have a Chinese citizenship spouse, you can provide a copy of your marriage certificate, and a copy of your husband/wife’s valid Chinese passport.

The last option would be most likely for most here on CFL.

Here is what i sent and how i filed out the Q1 visa form.

1) I made a copy of Each of mine and my wife's marriage license ( We were married in Chongqing ) Ya know the little red book?

One is in English and the other is in Chinese. I sent both.

2) I sent a copy of my wife's current Chinese passport.

3) For added measure, I also sent a copy of my wife's 10 GC

Now for the info with the Q1 (Visa application form)

Most of the info is straight forward.

Section 1.12 Marital status: Of course i said. Married.

Section 2 part 2.1. Travel information

This is where i took a chance.

Most of us when filling this out we always check Tourism for the reason of travel.

I checked: Family visit only.

Section 2 part 2.2 Number of entries: I selected. Other and entered 24 months multiple entry.

Section 2 part 2.4 (Your longest intended stay among all entries of your intended visits in China) I selected 180 days

Section 2 part 2.5 (Phone numbers and address during you stay) I gave the address of my wife's sister in Chongqing (This is where we always stay)

The address can be in English and or Chinese.

I did Chinese only.

I also gave the phone number to this address and a cell phone number to my wife's sister.

Section 2 part 2.8 Inviter or contact: Just said N/A ( I'll get to the N/A thing in closing)

Section 2 part 2.9 (Name, Address, Phone number of your relative in China) Same info as Section 2 part 2.5

As for the rest of the forum, Just filled it out as normal.

Now for the Power Of N/A

We all should now this by now. If any part of this application/Questions DO NOT! leave any blank lines.

If the question does not pertain to you (DO NOT LEAVE IT BLANK) Enter N/A

After finished, Sign it Date it and send it in with Fedex/UPS or any other service that lets you track it.

I though for sure i would get a phone call asking for more info.

I never received a call or nothing.

The only thing i got was an email with the return tracking number about 5/6 days later

Grand total for this was. 219.99 with 2 day fedex return.

Hope this helps.

If anyone has any questions? I'll be more than happy to help anyway i can.

Mike
