george lee
one of my favorites item is shark fin soup, costing 50 dollars to 100 dollars per bowl, depending on types of shark. we have it once a year or some special event, such as weddings and brithdays. once the bill is passed, i can see illegal shark fin selling in all chinatowns and someone will be rich, risking to sell shark fins to resturants. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/22/nyregion/bill-in-albany-would-ban-sale-of-shark-fins.html?_r=2 Link to comment
dnoblett
Once I went out deep sea fishing off the coast of Maine, simple fishing using a simple pole and bait. Mostly catching sand sharks, Perhaps you could start collecting them for fins? Link to comment

knloregon
Oregon's overwhelmingly progressive and green oriented legislature did the environmentally sensitive thing in the last legislative session---- passed a ban on sharkfin, but made sure that possession is a crime only if you're Chinese----business as usual for the good ol' white boys landing em' (no lie).
