CR-1 removal of condition

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have a quick question with regard to the CR-1 process, I hope this is the right place to ask this question. When we started the immigration process, my wife and I was married for less than 1 year, therefore we had to go through the CR-1 instead of IR-1. Anyway, the question is do I apply for the removal of conditional of the perment residence 90 days before the expiration of her green card?

Many thanks

Ning

This this process should be relatively painless :)

Sort of, I-751 is somewhat more work than what was needed to get a 2 year conditional card, I-751 Removal of conditions is all about showing still in a bona fide marital relationship at 2 years of residency, so is all about providing evidence showing a normal marriage.

This is very helpful information for me and the links were a great help. I am now getting ready to send our I-751 package to Vermont. I have a couple questions... Will USCIS really take a personal check? Do I need to enclude 2 photos of my wife? Should I fasten this small (70 pages) petition with those 2 prong fasteners that I used for the I-130?
