  1. This this process should be relatively painless
  2. Hello All, I have a quick question with regard to the CR-1 process, I hope this is the right place to ask this question. When we started the immigration process, my wife and I was married for less than 1 year, therefore we had to go through the CR-1 instead of IR-1. Anyway, the question is do I apply for the removal of conditional of the perment residence 90 days before the expiration of her green card? Many thanks Ning
  3. Haha, yea I called the immigration and custom office in LAX, I told them my situation, and how my wife is flying Air China, they said she'll be coming though Terminal 2.
  4. Yea, my wife is planning to land in LA, we're going to disneyland.

  5. Congrats on the Visa, my wife will be entering on the 22nd so we will be two days ahead of you.

  6. I have a question for POE at LAX, for anyone that went through this airport. I'm planning to pick my wife up at the airport. The airport itself is already confusing enough, on top of that, there are several parking places. My wife already brought her ticket via Air China on the 24th, she just received her visa packet last night. Anyway, in order to pick her up, I'm not sure which terminal Air China usually come through if the origin was from Beijing. If anyone know, please share, since running from one terminal to another wouldn't be fun. Ning Zhang
  7. Congrats, my wife got call-in letter, which she mailed her passport via EMS, however that was over 2 weeks ago, and still nothing mailed back yet. Ning
  8. Thanks, right now we're just waiting for her passport to be send back, it'll probably take few more days since China just had a huge holiday, and I assume they send the passports out by batches? perhaps every Friday. Ning
  9. Hello all, My wife had her CR1 visa approved, and now we're just waiting for her passport along with the sealed envelope so we can buy the plane ticket. My question is, once she gets to U.S. how do I go about applying for her social security #? would the sealed envelope have her green card? Or do I need to wait until something appears in the mail. Thanks Ning Zhang
  10. ty all, I'll try to provide more info in the future.
  11. Good news, Today my wife has finally received the "Final Processing/Call-in Letter" On there are specific instructions on where to send her passport. And it says follow the instructions on a website, specifically http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/ems-cod-waybill-instructions.html I'm not so familiar with this process, has anyone gone through this, please let me know so we don't make any additional mistakes. In all, this is good news, I'm really happy we're finally seeing the light at the end of this tunnel. Thanks Ning
  12. Well I asked GUZ via email if it is "call-in" they said yes, and that my wife will receive the letter soon. I hope it is same as "mail in your passport" we'll see in a few days I guess.
  13. When GUZ mention "call-in" letter, its usually good news right? its not something like NOID etc?
  14. I've mailed GUZ again asking: "As per the last email The administrative processing is just finished. We will further process the case and your beneficiary should expect a notice from the Consulate in the next two to three weeks regarding how to complete the visa processing. Please wait in patience. Does that mean my wife should expect a Call-in letter within 2-3 weeks to complete the visa process?" They replied: "Yes, your beneficiary should expect a call-in notice from the Consulate in the next two to three weeks." So yes, just a lag in updating the cases in DOS. As for delay in sending out the mail. I don't mind, as I know the AP is completed. However, beginning of October is a big holiday in China, my wife told me they usually take a week off, so I assume EMS will not be working then. Anyway just another update. I'll let u guys know when my wife receives the call in letter. NIng
  15. Called DOS today, they said base on their information on their computer, the case is still under AP. So I emailed GUZ again, hoping that it's just a lag in the system. Hopefully I hear good news from GUZ and what they told me wasn't a mistake. Ning
