Mr. Don
Hi my friends. Today is my 41st birthday and during dinner I received the email from USCIS saying that our I-129f has been approved and that they mailed the hard copy to us. Now what do we do?? We got through this first tough part with your help. Please advise :-) thanks to you all Link to comment
dnoblett
USCIS will send petition to NVC where they do some processing usually taking 3 or 4 weeks, then they send it to China. Once the consulate actually receive the case, they will then send out packet 3 to benificiary. Packet 3 consists of a document check list OF169 and DS230 part 1 and instructions.the OF169 and DS230 are returned to consulate. Time from approval to packet 3 took about 3 or 4 months for us, but recent cases seem to be around 2 months. Once you receive packet 3, then prepare your affidavit of support, I-134.. and send over to benificiary to take to the interview. http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm Edited February 1, 2012 by dnoblett (see edit history) Link to comment
Mr. Don
Thanks! This was very helpful. My fiancee has everything filled out that is listed on that site for P3. There really isnt that much to fill out from what I saw. The big chunk is the I-134 from me Link to comment
bobber205
You lucky dog! We're about 6 weeks behind you in the "process". Even meeting online is only a month before Jing and I met. Link to comment
