  1. Our interview went well! Interview was about 15 or so minutes long. She was very thorough. A fair number of questions about our relationship, how we met, etc. Then she moved onto the pictures we had brought (17). For most of them she asked questions, who was who. Said she really liked several of them, cute, those kind of comments. She then stamped a bunch of papers and said she would have given us our green card that day (!!!!) if only she had the entire K1 visa packet at her disk. For some reason, it said it was broken up and she didn't have 100% of it. I asked about the medical documents and our lack of a I-693. I explained to her that our attorney and internet research (you awesome people) said that it's not necessary if Jing got ALL the medical stuff done in China and has all the forms in lieu of the 693. She said yes that is correct and in almost all cases it's more than enough, assuming she isn't missing any shots and whatnot. She said don't celebrate just yet until we have the green card in hand, but to rest assured, things should be fine and we should have it in a week or two. We're so relieved to finally be done with the Feds for a couple years! ♥
  2. Jing entered the USA on July 5 in SFO. We're getting married on the 15th of September? Is that too late in the pocess? When we got our marriage certificate this morning, they said it takes up to 10 days after you turn in your signed/completed marriage license to get a certificate. Is this going to pose a huge issue? Should we reschedule the wedding to an earlier date? Alex Wait
  3. She's not in Guangzhou, though she lives only an hour or two by bus from the city. She got back in time for work after her interview.
  4. Did you elect to have it sent to the nearby post office? I have seen most people report 3 days but in some cases up to a week. Don't think we did but I'll check. She has a EMS tracking label but it hasn't shown up on the website yet.
  5. Still no visa 3 days after interview? We're planning on calling tomorrow.
  6. Jing says they did not give her a pink slip and instead it was white. Looks like they ran out of pink paper. xD
  7. 2 to 3 days before we receive her passport back right? I know it's possible to have some more trouble even after the interview is passed. Should we delay our excitement a bit?
  8. The pilot in Chemult is extremely nice. But yeah. Mollie's was going in and out of business WAY before Pilot was even in the game. How soon should we expect Jing's passport back? We've got the EMS tracking. What site did you guys use for tracking info?
  9. The questions she was asked: 1) Where does your fiance live? (eugene) 2) Where does his parents live? (klamath falls) 3) Does he speak Chinese? (no. he tried and it was too difficult) 4) Does your parents like him? (yes. very much)
  10. She got her visa!!!!!!! :gleam: :gleam: More details to follow but she basically got the coolest/most chill interviewer ever and 4 easy questions.
  11. Sitting and waiting for Jing to give me the good/not so good news. I may be getting an ulcer!!
  12. She called me 12:30am my time. So between 3 and 3:30 pm I bet. She said that it only took her two minutes once she got through the line.
  13. Holy crap. Jing had her cell taken away about 9pm my time said she was "about to go into office". Sounded about right for paper take in time. 3 and a half hours later she finally calls me. She waited that long in line! She said there was HUNDREDS of people there turning in documents. Alot were people getting immigration "investment" visas. Also since K1 in a non immigration visa, her line was extra long since that seems to be the majority of visas given out there? Anyway, document turn in is a go and "a done". Big test is tomorrow.
