The latter. I had heard that you want to get this done within 90 days of the expiration date. The soonest you are able to file for removal of conditions is within 90 days of the expiration date. Once you file, then things are fine. Can some one point me to a link to the process? I-751, Petition to Remove the Conditions of Residence Link to comment
dnoblett
It's your responsibility to prepare and send an I-751 within 90 days prior to 2 year card expiring to remove conditions, the USCIS may or may not send you a reminder. You file an I-751 to remove conditions. There is a tread all about it pinned at the top of the AOS Immigrations issues forum. http://candleforlove...ic/29538-i-751/ More: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29296 Edited October 2, 2011 by dnoblett (see edit history) Link to comment
