knloregon Posted June 6, 2011 Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 Here in Portland, Oregon, the dragon boat races take place during the Rose Festival----which began last week --- and dragon boat races are later this week ---- so we haven't missed the whole event---althou most don't fully understand the cultural significance. I am not sure if if my Chinese co-workers understood the significance. Right now, sitting in the Dalian airport on the way to Guangzhou so it is more like the Dragon Plane festival. Link to comment
