$400 Charged by the NVC

We just got a bill from the NVC that $400 must be paid to NVC before our case (GC for our son in China) can be further processed. Any one knows if it is a new fee or it has been there for a while? Thanks.

This is the standard fee which has been there for quite sometime. GUZ used to collect this fee before interview. Now NVC collects it and there are no fees to be paud at the interview.

You filed an I-130 for an IR-2 visa for your son, the $400 fee is for his visa it is paid to NVC not to the US consulate.
