You need to use CHINESE Characters, NOT PINYIN.

For example: my wife's name Yang Yu ÑîìÏ Results in 2799 3558 for CTC NOTE Yang Yu is PINYIN for ÑîìÏ You need to enter ÑîìÏ into that online lookup.

Also you don't use the Hex Number.

My web security software won't let me open up the NJ star website. The Beijing Embassy website lists this website to look up the code - which I can access:

http://www.bioinfo.tsinghua.edu.cn/~zhengj...bin/getCode.cgi

Just in case someone is running into the same issue that I have.

I emailed them to her, I hope that is all they will need from her. If I am wrong please tell me so I can help her threw this last bump in the road. All of you people have helped me so much and I wish all a merry christmas and a happy new year, Thanks

"Two copies of the DS-156 form in English with original signatures. Chinese nationals must also fill out Items 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 18, 20 in both English and Chinese and must provide the telegraph code for their Chinese surnames and given names while filling out Items 6 & 7, which can be found at most Chinese post offices."

Are you sure about the 6,7,8,9,15,18,20 needs to be in Chinese, because no where on the instruction forms say they are to be in chinese, just chinese name and telegraphic code
