Sam and Fen
Not sure about Macs but for windows computers and laptops the power supply is designed to work off of 110V and 220V. My US laptop can be charged in China with out having to use any adaptor.
Randy W
Check Radio Shack for plug adaptors. Like Sam send, they don't need to change the voltage - check the power adaptor to be sure - it should say 110-220V, 50-60 Hz.
dnoblett
Go to the an Apple store and buy a cord or world travel kit, the actual power block will work on any voltage from 100v to 240v just the cord part needs to be replaced. http://store.apple.com/us/product/M8794G/B?mco=MTExNzk4ODE
HelloWorld08
my macbook charged fine without any converters, are you using the MagSafe adapter?
Appaullo
ok, will check with Radio Shack. As for the MagSafe adapter ... I have no idea what she uses to charge her laptop currently. Once she gets settled I am going to have her pick out an apple desktop for her office here in America. I know zero about apple and macs ... I'm a PC guy.

The connector looks like this: http://www.gadgetrepublic.com/fs/img/news/627x/magsafe.jpg If the apple has a 2 pin style power cord, you probably can use Radio Shack part # 273-1406, call your nearest store and ask if they have one in stock. When I use to work RS in the 90's every store had them, but now only certain stores have a full inventory. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...oductId=2036267 http://rsk.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pRS1C-2077853_rshalt1_dt.jpg
